Hopefully someone can help me with this. I updated my S4S today and as soon as I open the program I immidiately recieive this error message:

I agree, and I don't want to wait an eternity to have help, it's really annoying P.S: Also, maybe it's a stupid question, but how can we write a thread? I don't go here often, and I went to the "help" section, but I really don't know how to do it :/

Purple Sparkler , This error seems to be from antivirus software preventing Studio from running. frogc4sserole was able to get Studio running (in this thread), and others with the same error were also able to fix it by configuring their antivirus (so far I've seen AVG and Avast users) to allow Sims 4 Studio to run.

I had this exact same problem and I have AVG antivirus. I went into the Menu, Settings, Blocked and Allowed Apps in AVG and added Sims4Studio to allowed apps, it fixed the problem!

I had this problem as well. My fix was to disable windows defender and then to also make sure the S4S is configured to point to the Sims4 directory not the Sims4 bin. This error happened after I downloaded and reinstalled the S4S. I was updating it.
So, for the settings make sure where it says path to the game... It's your program files/electronic arts/sims 4/
Not sims 4/bin/
