I just discovered the Sims 4 Studio and completed the batch fixes (I did all of the batch fixes available since I had just discovered this). It fixed everything beautifully so mad props to the creators for this!
I now have a new issue. All of my cats and dogs are either a golden, reddish brown or spotted like a Dalmatian dog. It doesn't matter what breed I click on and it won't let me customize their coats at all. It doesn't matter if I adopted a pet in the game or created one from the very beginning in CAS. Any solution for this out there?
I'd hazard a guess that it's some kind of CC texture conflict. If you have any Pet CAS CC, try removing that first to see if that solves the issue (most likely something worn by both cats and dogs.) If that does solve the problem, use the 50/50 method to narrow it down. Basically, place half of what you removed back into your mods folder and see if the issue returns. If it doesn't, remove it and try the other half. If the issue does return, try removing half of what tested positive and proceed from there until you can narrow down the culprit. If removing pet CC doesn't help, try removing all of your CC to see if that solves it, and then use the 50/50 method if it does. Note: You may be able to do this faster by using Sims4Studio to look at your Pet CC. If it's an individual item, it should have the same problem when you open it in S4S. However, some things can't or shouldn't be opened in S4S so proceed with caution. Most CC that shouldn't be opened simply won't open but there are exceptions. I don't think there's any pet CC off the top of my head that would be like that but it's worth mentioning if it's somehow another piece of CC that isn't made for pets. Also, some things won't conflict unless you're wearing more than one item, in which case you will have to open your game to determine what's going on. If it's not any of your CC causing the problem, then keep your mods folder temporarily removed and repair the game to see if that solves it. Good luck!
