I'm not a "Creator." But I can't find any other Help Forums for s4s other than error reports - which isn't what I have here.
I'm just a newb who wants help so I'm probably missing a forum that's incredibly obvious. I promise I looked multiple times.
I saw that the thread that focuses on instructions hasn't gotten reply's for months.
So I thought I'd ask here.
1st question: Best place to ask a question about merging packages? 2nd question: When I merge packages (all packages are merged per creator name) many of the CC ends up missing in the game. What is it that I'm most likely doing wrong here?
1: Best place is right here 2: Depends on several factors. More than likely outdated CC but could be any number of things.
Thanks so much for your reply. Is there a direction you can point me to discern which CC is outdated or even duplicates? I've searched the internet and I've found the 50-50 method but nothing's gamebreaking just yet. My main mission is to speed up my game through condensing the room my cc + mods take up.
2nd question: When I merge packages (all packages are merged per creator name) many of the CC ends up missing in the game. What is it that I'm most likely doing wrong here?
Are you sure that CC gets lost? I merged 20 GB without any issues. Anyhow I made sure that the individual files stayed below 2 GB as there may have been an issue in the past with files >2 GB. It shouldn't be an issue with 64 bit while with TS4 one never knows.
Adding CC is a pain as sub-folders are not included. I had about 1000 folders with CC and copied all files into one new folder beforehand. So you could try to copy all CC of author X into a folder and then merge only this folder. The merged file size should match the folder size and hopefully all CC of this author is then in-game available.
If the file is much smaller than there may be an issue with duplicate or the CC itself.
You should of course exclude script mods in the first place as these may break.
