Hi everybody! New creator here. I've been trying to import a Sims .package animation into blender for a little bit, and I've had no luck in my attempts, so I've come here for help.
I have a rig outside of a sims 4 rig and was wondering if I'd be able to actually import an animation that way; or I have to go through the long-strewn process of importing a model with SimsRipper. My first idea was whether or not there was a way to turn a .package into a .FBX and import the animation that way, but I honestly have no clue if that's possible.
If anyone could help me out here, or even just give me a lead, I'd appreciate it so much. Thank y'all!

I'm a bit confused on what you are trying to do. You can't import an animation stuck inside a .package, you need to open the .package and extract the animation, then open the .blend. If there are multiple animations and there's no posepack snippet to organize the menu, then you need to separate them first and then extract one at a time as the system is a bit wonky and needs an update. So to separate them you'd go to the Warehouse and extract all the clips and clip headers, then you'd delete all but one set. Save, close, re-open, go back to the Studio tab and then extract on the sims rig you need. Go back to the warehouse, import the next set and delete the old one, repeat. Hopefully that made sense.
But your last message, are you referring to an object or a sims rig? Usually if you are using someone else's sim rig they have instructions on how to use and import the animations when done.

Thank you for responding to my post! I'm a noob when it comes to blender, even moreso when it comes to the sims, so I hope I'm at least making a little bit of sense. I think you're getting at what I'm trying to do, but bare with me, I often have issues trying to explain my workflows in text. If you have any resources that you could link me rather than having to write the process out; please do. I don't really want to force anyone to manually teach me because I'm sure what I'm trying to do is a bit more complicated. I'm trying to use a sims animation on a rig that isn't necessarily a "sims" rig, for short. It'll keep in blender but I'm trying to separate the animation from the .package. The animation .package that I have, when I open simstudio, has multiple little "clips" (I'm sorry if I'm not using the right terminology again, lol.) that I'm not sure how to separate from the package itself into a .blend.

This forum is intended only as Sims 4 Studio support and how to work in Sims 4 Studio. If you need an animation for the project that has nothing to do with Sims 4 game then you need to bring this question to Blender forums.
