Whenever I choose a hat for one of my cc hairs - savvysweet's bee hair V2 - my game immidieately crashes and shuts down!!! It doesn't happen with other cc hairs. I really don't know what may be causing it. Whenever I am in cas, when I choose a hat for savvysweet's bee hair the game shuts down! Can someone test the hair in their game so I can know if it's only my game's problem? What may be causing this? I'll give a link to downoload said hair + conversions of this hair made by me. Maybe they are causing the problem? www.mediafire.com/folder/7sxq2q5yn3ty9/Blender+filesCan anybody help me?

Hi. We are not 24/7 customer service. There are very few people who check this section of the forum regularly with an intention to help others. There are dozens of new threads every day, some can be answered from the phone, others require time and access to the pc. If your thread gets no response in 24 hours, simply bump it. There is no need to create a new one and be rude because the desire to help you disappears completely. Instead of doing it, you could have checked the rules and shared blend files because we need to see what they looked like before you imported them in s4s. I get errors when I try to export them

Oh! I didn't realize there were problems with the files. I'll give a link to downoload blender files of those hairs right away! www.mediafire.com/folder/7sxq2q5yn3ty9/Blender+filesAnd I'm sorry for my behaviour. Sometimes I get worried that nobody will answer...

Did you happen to edit the original blend file? The download links for the original are no longer available so I cannot check, but the problem lies in the fact that the mesh has all vertex groups of the rig in the list. The game really does not like it so that is why it crashes on you. I do not know why it did not crash on them, tho, it happens to everyone Anyway, what you need to do is to delete all weights and re-do them because your meshgroups are rigged differently than theirs. This hair should not be affected by the head bone only. Check the last three tutorials by this person to know how to do this Would be a good idea to re-do the uv_1 as well for their mesh is not affected by the right morphs

Ok, thanks! Btw, this is where I've downoloaded the mesh from simfileshare.net/folder/118512/You can compare the original and mine just to make sure. Also if I can know, what made the mesh to have all vertex groups of the rig in the list?

Well, let's just say that the item is not adapted the way it should be. There are too many vertex groups in the list, it is affected by only one bone, has no hat chops, and the uvs in the uv_1 are not right. However, I had no problem exporting the mesh, so there must be more to it than just too many vertex groups ( or perhaps it is related to the version of the game / s4s the item was made in, i don't think I've ever had any problems exporting the mesh, but we don't do that often in the first place, so who knows )

Ok, after some thinking I decided to make hatchops for this hat from scratch again. But how to make hatchops right without the same problem happening again?

I found this video by grimcookies:
Tbh I don't understand the part where you have to clone the hair mesh two times. I think this may be causing all the vertex groups of the rig being in the same list. I tried this with my hair mesh, changed the LODS and didn't change the cloned hair meshes in any way. Even trieted deleting all the vertex groups in cloned hair meshes. Still the same problem is happening.
Especially since savvyswet's hair model doesn't have hatchops. How to add hatchops to a hair that doesn't have them?

Everything works fine for me when I fix it. When you duplicate the mesh, vertex groups are not affected. You need to duplicate the mesh twice to create 2 hat chops for 2 types of hats. - delete empty meshgroups; - select the remaining one, delete all vertex groups; - click on + to create a new vertex group, name it b__Head__, select all of the mesh with A, assign it to this vertex group; - add a new vertex group named b__Spine2__, select it, switch to Weight paint, disable Limit selection to visible, choose Weight gradient, click and drag it like in the pic; - click on Normalize all; - duplicate the mesh and make hat chops, change cut numbers

Clone a maxis base game hair and import meshes and textures there. The bones have already been added to a package, so must be that

Nope. Still doesn't work. When I create 3D mesh, choose base game hair and import textures and the mesh for all LODs it still crahes when choosing a hat in cas.

Try this, it does not crush the game for me. If it works for you, then you did something wrong ( did you delete all vertex groups before re-assigning them? )

Is the hat cc or maxis? Have you tried other hats? Before dragging the package into your mods folder, delete the previous version instead of replacing
