As the subject says, I'm trying to make this CC rocking chair from Severinka functional for my game. The rocking chair can be found on TSR - Link
My issue with this chair is that when I export the mesh and import into a new package, the mesh/rocking chair will disappear.
I have already made another CC rocking chair functional the same way with no problem, but this one is giving me some headaches. I would really like to make it functional for my game, but it's just not working :(
Can someone please tell me why the rocking chair disappears once imported into a new rocking chair package?

So explain how you're putting it into a new package file. Also, if it's already a package file, ultimately (for personal use only, unless you get her authorization to make changes to it) just need to add the rig to the already created package file.

Hi SimVault Thanks for your reply. As I've said in my post, I want to make the chair functional for my game which means just for my personal use of course. Sorry that this wasn't clear enough.
Here is what I did so far; first I exported the needed data from a functional rocking chair and replaced the rig/slot and footprint data of the Palermo chair. I then changed the tunings, object catalog and tags data to match all data with my functional rocking chair.
The Sim can use the rocking chair now, but the chair itself has no movement. The Sim will rock without the chair lol.
So I thought since I already made another decorative rocking chair functional, I will try the same method on this one hoping that the chair itself will then also have the rocking movement. I exported all 4 Palermo rocking chair LODs, then opened an already functional rocking chair package and tried to replace the existing rocking chair LODs with the Palermo chair LODs. But this time my method does not work. Once importing the first LOD0 mesh the chair will vanish. The shadow LODs will import and replace the existing ones with no problem, not so LOD0 and LOD1. This method worked just fine before without any issues, sadly not so with this rocking chair. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what is wrong with the chair and why the LODs will vanish on import. I have tried several package files just to make sure but to no avail.

You have all the cuts assigned? And if the chair isn't moving, it sounds like the weights weren't transferred.

Hi MizoreYukii thanks for your answer. I did compare these LODs with the ones from a functional rocking chair in Blender and saw, that it was missing _bind_rocker_ in the transform Groups. So I added it to each LOD since the working ones have that in each LODs, even the shadow LODs, but when I try to import my altered LODs, Studio will give out a message saying that the LOD has a transform group _bind_rocker_ which is not part of the mesh. However, when I just try to replace the LODs from a functional rocking chair (as I succsessfully did a few times before with other CC rocking chairs), then the chair will vanish by ghost hand. All you see is the grey shadow spot. I'm not sure how to check on weight transfer issues as you've mentioned although it would make sense to check since the chair does not move with the Sim. But I'm affraid that my blender skills are limited when it comes to deep dive in blender I'm using the older version 2.70 btw. Higher versions give me issues. I guess I will give-up on the rocking chair since 1) givng the original package all the rocking chair DATA, the rocking chair itself has no animation, just the Sim will rock, 2) my easier method to just replace the exsiting LODs of a functional rocking chair with these does not work and 3) altering the original LODs adding transform group _bind_rocker_, studio will refuse to import. Maybe because of all these issues is why the creeator of this rocking chair has not yet made it functional. Thanks to you both for trying to help. I really appreciate it. Happy Easter!
