I tried to add a normal map and it makes my sims skin a darker tint, any solutions?

Can you provide the .package? I presume your normal map goes over the whole torso, rather than just the shirt.

EDIT: just after posting this I realised that the shininess is still slightly there :,). If that's unnoticeable enough for you then go with that haha, otherwise I think you'll need someone with more cas experience Ok so I've finally figured this out haha. 1) You needed to embed the diffuse map (do this via tools > modding > embed all externally referenced resources (CAS)) 2) Then the bump map needed some tweaking (needed to be a dds, alpha channel needed to be grey not white, etc) The bump map will still need some modifying but I'll leave that for you haha (tbh you probably just need to play about with the alpha channel until it looks good to you) Here's the fixed package, and the fixed bump map if you want to import that straight into your original package (but make sure you embed).

Hi. The reason the skin looks darker is because the normal map was saved without the alpha channel. Make sure to save it with interpolated alpha ( DXT5 ) and generated mip maps
