Hi Guys, I have been struggling for a while now in regards to making careers have uniforms, I have been able to create all the careers but they only go to work with the Everyday outfits. Does anybody know how to amend this in getting the career levels to have uniforms? all the info i keep finding is to use the sims.modify etc but unless it has a base on which to mould that tip doesn't work. I've been creating the careers through www.simneia.frAny help would be much appreciated.

You have to manually edit your files, you need to add a work_outfit to your level tuning and a custom outfit snippet. Download the TDESCs and TDESC Browser so you can read up on that section in the CareerLevels ( installation tutorial). It looks like this in the level files: <U n="work_outfit"> <V n="outfit_generator" t="enabled"> <T n="enabled">250819<!--outfit_Uniform_Career_CorporateWorker_Main--></T> </V> </U> And it leads to an outfit snippet like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <I c="Outfit" i="snippet" m="snippets" n="outfit_Uniform_Career_CorporateWorker_Main" s="250819"> <U n="value"> <L n="body_type_chance_overrides"> <U> <E n="key">EARRINGS</E> <T n="value">0</T> </U> <U> <E n="key">FACEPAINT</E> <T n="value">0</T> </U> <U> <E n="key">GLASSES</E> </U> <U> <E n="key">GLOVES</E> <T n="value">0</T> </U> <U> <E n="key">HAT</E> </U> <U> <E n="key">NECKLACE</E> <T n="value">0</T> </U> <U> <E n="key">SOCKS</E> </U> <U> <E n="key">TIGHTS</E> </U> <U> <E n="key">WRIST_LEFT</E> </U> <U> <E n="key">WRIST_RIGHT</E> </U> </L> <L n="tags"> <E>Uniform_CorporateWorker_Main</E> </L> </U> </I> You can find a list of tags in the 03B33DDF!00000000!D89CB9186B79ACB7.tag.Tuning.xml but it contains every tag in the game (gameplay and objects too), so it will be annoying to dig through.

I tried doing that before but never figured it out. I was trying to create my own uniform tag and couldn't get it to work. Is there a tutorial somewhere?

Try opening EA career level files to study how they do the uniforms, then when you have more questions just post back. Try re-downloading the Browser and/or using another program to unzip the download.

I tried doing that before but never figured it out. I was trying to create my own uniform tag and couldn't get it to work. Is there a tutorial somewhere? There is no tutorial. To make your own tag you have to either override the file I listed above and it's SimData, or use a script. There are two script options that are both novice level, very easy and anyone can use it. Make a tag like Leniad_WorkUniformSomething, hash to 32bit (64 will give errors), and then add it to this script or the other one to inject it. Where it says 'Func_Hair_Removal' etc. you should insert your tag name (keep the ' ' around it), and where it says 100001 etc. insert your 32bit. (This one is by Scumbumbo) from tag import Tag
def add_tag_elements(kvp):
with Tag.make_mutable():
for k,v in kvp.items():
Tag._add_new_enum_value(k, v)
TAG_ELEMENTS = {'Func_Hair_Removal': 100001, 'Func_NoseStraightener': 100002, 'Func_ChickenPlucker': 100003}
add_tag_elements(TAG_ELEMENTS) Or try this one, same concept (this one is by Frankk): def do_tag_injections():
with Tag.make_mutable():
Tag._add_new_enum_value('TAG_NAME', 123456)
Tag._add_new_enum_value('OTHER_TAG', 654321)
do_tag_injections()
Then when you want to use the tag on an object, etc. in S4S, you use the number to reference it. Then in tuning you'd use the name.
