I really like this shelf, but I found it rather limiting that I can't choose what to place on it. I've added 108 small decorative slots to it so it can be filled with personal items rather than just one thing. I've removed the special tuning from it so that it will not have any conflict with the original in the game. It will function as an ordinary decorative shelf and it will not affect the original shelf in any way. This version has all the original swatches plus three new recolors. Unlike the original, it also has color tags for all swatches, and the design tool popup is at the correct height. It references the original images which keeps the .package from having image bloat. This is a calculated risk counting on the fact that EA will retain the images in the game files after Halloween. If they don't, I will re-do the shelf to include the images in the .package. I hope you will enjoy it. The screenshots were taken in the game, and the download is below the picture credit. Picture Credit: kiwisims4 - the small framed photo #om #surface #shelves #slot mod

Another EA table with an incomprehensibly small number of slots fixed. I've added a bunch of small, medium, and large slots (224 slots in all). The slots overlap for maximum flexibility and cover the entire surface to the edges. The bottom shelf is also slotted for anyone who is compulsive enough about slots to want them there This is a default override that will not add a new catalog entry or anything else but 224 slots that will only change the surfaces of this table. I hope you will enjoy it. Spooky Stuff is required. The pic is an in-game screenshot and the download is below the picture credits. I just love the skulls EA made to observe the Day of the Dead, but I don't really have time to do all the steps of a challenge to get them. These are available in the Deco/Misc catalog, and any Sim can purchase them. They will fit into standard deco slots (small, medium, and large slots). All nine are included in one .package and will show up as swatches instead of nine different catalog items. I hope you will enjoy it. The pic is an in-game screenshot, and the download is below. You can find the slotted empty ladder HERE and the mirror HERE. #om #deco

In testing out Studio's new default override feature for build mode, I decided to add trim to this wall. I just don't care too much for wallpapered walls that have no trim :P This .package will change the existing wall texture to add brown trim to the top and bottom of all three swatches. It will also add new color choices (including some with white trim) to the same catalog entry. The catalog thumbnail for the wall is unchanged (except for showing the trim) as are the price, name, and description. I hope you will enjoy it! The picture below shows most of the swatches. Not shown are EA's olive with brown trim, EA's gray with brown trim, and the pink and pale gray with white trim. #om #wallpaper #wall #default override

Super-cute sculpture by EA. I want it in more places than just giant surfaces (it doesn't really seem to "go" on a counter). So I shrunk it 50%, rotated it so the side faces front, and shifted it a tiny bit so it's centered in a slot. It will fit any small deco slot. If you use the in-game enlarge cheat it will be the same size as the original. The .package contains only the resources necessary to shrink the sculpture and make it fit small slots. It's a default override and requires City Living. I hope you enjoy it The picture is an in-game screenshot and the download is below the picture credit. I find it annoying when EA creates multiple catalog entries for different swatches that use the same mesh. I'm not sure why they do this, but I don't appreciate wading through a list of items inflated by duplication. The last straw was City Living where almost all the new paintings were this way. I made this mod to fix my catalog, and I figured I'd share it in case anyone else would like to bring order to the chaos.
What this mod will do: merge multiple images that share a mesh into a single catalog entry. A total of 40 catalog entries were reduced to seven entries instead. The paintings will work with the design tool, and you can pick any of the images using that or from the swatch list on the catalog entry itself. The .package contains only the resources necessary to change the many duplicate paintings EA included in City Living. You will need City Living to notice any change in your painting catalog.
Please note, one of the paintings was (key word is was) an entitlement painting. Merging that one made it behave oddly with the entitlements and since I hate the entitlement thing anyway, I removed that. This change means that any Sim can buy the painting. If this bothers you, don't install the mod.
There were two paintings that look as if they share a mesh (because the mesh itself is identical) but the instance number is different. I didn't feel like screwing around with it just to merge two entries, so those are not included in the mod.
A caveat: just because I've never noticed any particular reason why EA makes multiple catalog entries for different swatches for the same painting mesh doesn't mean there isn't one. This mod works fine in my game, but I don't play much so if it changed something about the painting's behavior I might not notice that. If you install the mod and notice the paintings aren't acting as they used to just remove the mod if that bothers you. In my multiple tests, I noticed nothing different about the paintings after installing this mod.
Paintings included in the mod:
Merged into The Blue Door catalog entry: Inky Mountains Beauty in the Madness Tree of Food Love in Pair Patterned Peacock
Merged into the Reddened Sky catalog entry: Crescent Cityscape Never-ending Bloom Falling Blossoms One-eyed Watcher Tiled Intricacies
Merged into the Through the Mist catalog entry: Strong Warrior Majestic Remembrance Under the Golden Sun
Merged into the Blicblock Poster catalog entry: Hillock II MySims Go! R.E.F.U.G.E Road Rival Alpha Sims Forever Incredible Sports
Merged into the Blicblock signed framed painting catalog entry (entitlement removed): Hillock II signed MySims Go! signed R.E.F.U.G.E signed Road Rival Alpha signed Sims Forever signed Incredible Sports signed
Merged into the gigantic Splatter Content catalog entry: City Dwelling Echos of the Past Bridges of Misshapen Paths Reflecting Ideals
Merged into the standard-sized Splatter Content catalog entry: City Dwelling (standard size) Echos of the Past (standard size) Bridges of Misshapen Paths (standard size) Reflecting Ideals (standard size)
Updated because I inadvertently uploaded the .package version that did not include the deletion of unnecessary resources. If you downloaded something bigger than about 10KB, please redownload and overwrite the version you have with this one. I really apologize for the inconvenience.#om #EA fix #default override

This small "gift" from EA has irritated me ever since they decided to patch in 9 swatches for the same painting, each with its own catalog entry. The clown one, well ok, it has different tuning, but the others?...just why? The real annoyance came when I realized that although these swatches use identical meshes each mesh has a different instance...argh! It was a total PIA merging these things. I'm still not sure it was worth it because I doubt I'll use them much if at all...I may end up just making a hider for the lot of them. Anyway, enough about EA and on to what this mod will do for your catalog: This mod contains the resources necessary to merge all eight of the movie posters that came with the Movie Hangout patch into a single catalog entry. They still have all the frame choices, and the catalog entry for all of them is the same as the ones they came with. So the Still Life has a Still Life catalog entry, the Sul Sul has a Sul Sul catalog entry and so on...you just don't have to see them all spread out in the catalog itself. Instead, they're all neatly included in the Cow Plant painting entry, and you can use the Design Tool instead of having to remove one and buy another. If that's the mod for you, click where it says Download in blue below. If you would also like the Tragic Clown painting merged with the others, I have made a second version for you. This version is optional because the Tragic Clown ordinarily has special tuning that does tragic clowny things. That tuning did not play nice when merged with other paintings lacking this special (in my opinion annoying) tuning. To merge this guy I had to remove that tuning and make it an ordinary painting. If you want that version, click this ---> DOWNLOAD CLOWN VERSION. Don't download both versions (you only need one), and don't download the clown version if you like the behavior of the Tragic Clown painting. If you're interested in having the City Life paintings cut from 40 catalog entries to less than 10, check out the Catalog Clutter Buster mod directly above this post. #om #EA fix #default override

I made this to fulfill a request in the Studio requests forum. It fits into small deco slots and is categorized as a sculpture. The back is plain so you can use it as a cross as well as a crucifix.
It's sized to go on an altar or a mantel in a residence. Outdoors it looks nice using the in-game enlarge feature and could serve as a lawn decoration in front of a place of worship. I hope you will enjoy it #om #sculpture #deco #religious theme

Ever since EA dropped the catalog bomb of a gazillion identical painting swatches with individual catalog entries in City Living I've been eying my painting catalog with growing annoyance. I plan to clean up the unwanted EA clutter there one project at a time. These 14 base game posters aren't even worth merging (imo) because they're so awful I would never use them. Instead, I made a hider for them. Since it's kind of tedious making these, I figured I'd share it in case anyone else would like to get rid of these posters.
What this mod does: Removes 14 base game posters (list below) from your catalog, so you don't have to constantly scroll past them on your way to the wall deco you actually use. The .package contains only the resources necessary to remove the posters, and if you ever want them back, all you have to do is remove the mod from your Mods folder.

Continuing my mission to clean up my cluttered catalog, I've made a hider for this bunch of 15 EA jazz-themed paintings. Many of the images and frames are duplicated throughout the catalog and, let's face it; this collection isn't one I would download if someone else uploaded it. Why have it in my catalog? Many of the frames are actually nice, so I guess I should point out that, if you have recolors of these paintings in your catalog, this hider will not remove those. Recolors of hidden paintings still show up in the catalog as usual. Also, instances of the paintings already placed in the game (in a house or venue) will still show up as usual when you visit lots where they've been placed, so using a hider won't leave gaps on walls. Lastly, if, for whatever reason, you find yourself wanting to use one of them, they should still show up in buydebug, and removing the mod will return them to your catalog. Since it's sort of tedious making hiders atm, I'm sharing this, so everyone else who never uses these paintings isn't forced to deal with the mess they make in the object catalog. The paintings hidden by this mod include: Ode to Jazz 5: "Ivory" Ode to Jazz Triptych Trio Saxophone in Silhouette Jazz Cats: Whiskers of a Forgotten Past The Pianist Ode to Jazz 6: "Ghost Quartet" Blue for the Blues Etude in Blue Ode to Jazz 1: "Golden" Ode to Jazz Wall Painting 2 Ode to Jazz 2: "Goldentips" Ode to Jazz 3: "Sea Bass" Ode to Jazz 4: "Feeling Blue" Tenor Mood Cool Serenade #om #EA fix #default override

I fixed this mirror for my game. Here it is for anyone else that wants it and doesn't want to have to fix it themselves The .package is a default override that contains only the resources necessary for the mirror to move like a painting does. It will add the stupid wrench to the catalog thumbnail (there is no way to avoid that). If you don't like the wrench, grab the wrench hider mod in the AOM studio #om #EA fix #default override #mirror

I wanted to be able to use the new bedframe with my separated mattresses so here it is. It has no footprint so you need to put a mattress on it to keep Sims from walking through it. It has no occluders so it won't cast odd shadows when combined with a mattress that has them, and it has its tuning fixed so it doesn't act like a bed and Sims won't stare at it as if it's a sculpture. It references EA's swatches to reduce the size of the .package and it contains all the original color choices. It requires Vintage Glamour to be installed in order to show in your game. I added three new swatches because it didn't have basic white, black, and black/red. It is priced so that if you use it with my Sophia mattress or recolors of it the bed will cost the same as the original frame/mattress bed. Sims wil use the bed as usual once the mattess is placed. The pics below and above show the new colors I added and the mattress shown is the Sophia. I hope you will enjoy it. #om #bed #comfort #bedframe #Vintage Glamour

I've finally gotten around to fixing some of the Vampires stuff for my game and I figured I'd share this for anyone who wants to clutter up this large fireplace that has almost no slots. This is a default override that will do nothing but add 141 slots to the Soporific fireplace that came in the Vampires pack. It will not create a new catalog entry or put a wrench on the thumbnail. It has 57 small, 65 medium, and 19 large slots. The slot layout is shown below. The large slots are in a band across the middle of the surface. #om #EA fix #default override #slot mod #fireplace

This mirror uses the same frame as EA's Count Vlad painting that came with the Vampires pack. It references all the images from the painting so it will not add a lot of bulk to your game. You will need the Vampires pack for the mirror to show up. It comes in all the colors the painting comes in and it will move up and down on the wall like a painting. I hope you enjoy it Click for more Maxis Match downloads.#om #mirror #Maxis match
