Who knew it would be such a flog to renovate my Sim's kitchen? Now it's the window they want that's the problem. For some reason EA didn't make the shadow fit the mesh right so there is this bright area between the frame and where the shadow begins...it truly looks dreadful:
There is just no way to use this otherwise lovely window so I quick-fixed it by just editing the shadow a tiny bit in Blender.
This is a default override that contains only the high LOD. I didn't notice any bright line popping up as I zoomed out so I left the other LODs alone. Note: this will not fix the weird barbell shaped shadow you get if you put the window into the house facing the wrong way. The window should have that part facing out anyway so you won't ever see it.

I'm still working on the kitchen renovation for my Sims and I ran into the most maddening thing...the cute pot deco from Outdoor Retreat has a ridiculously gigantic footprint that won't even let it sit on a counter let alone a shelf  So I decided to do a quick little fix on it in the Warehouse and wala...all better!
I have no idea what prompted EA to give this poor unassuming pot/pan set a Sasquatch-sized footprint that relegates it to the floor...in the center of the room but this mod corrects that lapse in judgement with a simple default override of footprint and object catalog resources. Just pop it into your mods folder and they will happily jump right up onto your counters, or your fridge top, or your cabinet top...just how they should have in the first place.

Now that Sims 4 Studio has made Design Tool enabled objects possible I'm updating my objects one by one. Next up is this modern rug. I hope you will enjoy it. If you have the other one that doesn't work with the design tool just delete that one and get this one

I was working on a tutorial showing how to make transparency in Sims clothing without the pesky shadow, bump, and specular artifacts left behind when you make part of an opaque EA garment transparent and this top was the tutorial item. I ended up liking it quite a bit so I added a few more selections to it and thought I'd share it in case you like it too. And if you want a different style with transparency you can always try the tutorial out and make your own...it's easy and fun

For some reason EA's enlarge feature doesn't work on rugs. This wouldn't be a problem except that they didn't include any large size rugs except for those giant mansion sized ones. Anything even close in size to what I wanted to do didn't allow me to have the kind of image I wanted. I tried using an alpha image with a large rug but that left unsightly white edge artifacts all around the edge of the rugs in the game. Discussions with the team generated a solution...let Sims 4 Studio resize the rug.
So that's exactly how this was made. The new resize feature has now been incorporated into the latest Alice Preview so everyone can resize objects to their liking. Of course, shrinking a rug is less than just right if the footprint stays the same. So the ability to edit an object's footprint has also been incorporated into the tool. This rug is the result of the hard work the S4S tech leads have put in on Studio and I couldn't have made it without them. I hope you will enjoy it.

Hi all, three new poses for making CAS screenshots with. These replace the Clumsy trait and are best viewed with the casclockspeed set to 0.06 or so. Each has a different facial expression that matches the body pose. I hope you will enjoy them and find them helpful for making CAS screenshots of your Sims

The first time I saw this sign I imagined it in a small pot of potted herbs or sitting in front of a patch of flowers...always smaller and always with the name of something on it. My thoughts returned to it when I saw ajOya's cute garden signs that she posted HERE so I thought I'd finally make it.
This is the EA Gone Fishing sign made smaller. I made the footprint match it's size and I've removed the fish spawning behavior from it as well. I recolored mine to sit in front of lavender but anyone that wants to recolor it differently should feel free to do so. I've provided the original EA texture so you can have a look at that if it helps you to make your recolor. If you do recolor it I'd love to see pics of what you make

Another set of fashion poses for using in CAS. These will not rotate like the others do and instead you can use the , and . keys on your keyboard to rotate the Sim without losing the pose. The first two are made for slender Sims and will have a gap between hands and hips if the Sim is very small. It will clip if the Sim is large. The second two go pretty well regardless of Sim-size unless the Sim is very large. They all have a facial expression designed to go with the pose the body is in. I hope you will find them useful for showing off your Sim and custom content in CAS. Please feel free to use them in your upload screenshots The download is below the first picture.

I picked six matching pairs of paintings and made this modern painting with plain frames and white mattes around the images. It costs 2415 Simoleans. All the shots are taken in the game. The large pictures were shot with the light color set to neutral white and the smaller were taken with the light color set to warmer white. The mattes are plain white and take on a little of the light sources color if it isn't neutral white. The download is below the first picture. I hope you enjoy the painting
