The EA Tabula Rasa is probably one of my favorite EA meshes...it's so versatile you can use it just about anywhere, it's in my Sim family home, and I use it in a lot of screenshots. What I don't love about it is the slots EA put on it...or the lack of slots is really more like it. The top surface is skimpy and the bottom surface has only 4. Another thing that bothers me is that most of the original slots are these weird rotated kind that turn any item placed into them. I'm not a fan of that...I'd rather rotate the item myself. This mod fixes all of these issues. I removed all of EA's slots and then added 130 of my own: There is a band of 22 medium slots alternated along the middle of each surface and the rest are small slots. They are all standard slots so you won't have your item hopping into a slot all skewed. You will be able to rotate items placed in them as usual. The Tabula Rasa is now useful and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. This is a default override of the EA console table so it will not add any new catalog entry...all it will do is fix the original EA table so it has a lot more slots.

Another very nice EA table made less nice by an abundance of legs and a dearth of slots...I couldn't resist fixing it This is a default override that will remove the two legs under the center of the table and add a lot more slots. You can now put things underneath it (sorta like you want to if it's supposed to be a hall table) and put lots of clutter on top of it. It has 33 slots in all with 5 medium ones in the middle row and 28 small ones through the front, middle, and back rows.
The .package contains only the resources needed to change the mesh, update the three swatch images, add slots, and update the catalog thumbnail. I've also made a version that will only provide the extra slots (shown in the picture directly above) in case you prefer to keep the middle two legs but still want to clutter up the top. If you prefer that click this link:

In working with the last couple slot mods I made I needed to load up the surfaces for screenshots and, in doing that, I ran into a few EA items that won't hop into spots they really should hop into. Then, while working on my Sim family's garden area I ran into this pedestal that is supposed to be a surface but instead has a broken slot on it. I could have sworn it worked at some point but it certainly is not working now. Since I fixed these things for my game I figured I'd share them to save everyone else the trouble of doing it. Each of these items is a default override that contains only the resource(s) necessary to fix whatever issue it has. These are listed below. The download contains the pedestal, and the following three items from the picture below: nail polish clutter that will now fit into a small slot instead of only a medium one, potted plant (the one in the middle) that will now fit into a medium slot instead of requiring a large one, and the pink flowers that will also fit into a medium slot instead of only a large one. The pink flowers require Cool Kitchen to be installed on your computer in order to show up. The three downloads are below the pictures and "resources used" list. These are the resources I edited: flower - footprint and object catalog, nailpolish - object catalog, plant - footprint and object catalog, pedestal - rig and slot. I hope you will find these as useful as I do.

I wanted a mirror that had a sort of aged look to it and EA has this very nice painting frame (Ode to Jazz) that was perfect for the project. I used that, made some small modifications to it, and added several more swatches for a total of 12. It goes very nicely alone or matched up with the original painting. The mirror is fixed so that it will slide up and down on walls like a painting also so you can position it exactly how you want. The download is below the pictures and picture credits. I hope you will enjoy it. #om #decor #wall decor #mirror #Maxis match #shabby chic #traditional

I keep running into these tables by EA that don't have enough slots and I just cannot stop myself from rectifying the problem This .package is a default replacement and contains just the resources necessary to add a lot more slots to the Royal Remembrance Hall Table. There are 5 medium slots in a band through the middle and 28 small slots scattered through and around the medium ones. This allows you to place things just about anywhere on the surface. I hope you find it as useful as I do The download is below the pictures and picture credits.

I was inspired by pictures of these adorable tiny cacti in repurposed tea tins that I saw online and I wanted to make one for my game. Then I thought it would be really cute if they could also go in the repurposed soup can pot I made several weeks ago. So I separated the sprout from the soup can, created the tea tin, and then shrunk a few cacti I borrowed from EA. Now it's a small set perfect for sunny window sills and other small, bright spaces. My original sprout in a can cost $5 so each of the pots now costs $3 and the plants are each $2...the dirt in the pots is free Each of the pots has a single slot to allow the plant to hop right in and they, of course, will hop onto surfaces carrying the plant with them. Each item can be found in the indoor plants section of the catalog so you don't have to bounce between clutter and plants to mix and match them. Because they're small I made them no-fade items so you can get close to them for screenshots without having them vanish. I hope you will enjoy them. The download link is below the last picture. These boots were made for Potting!
I was looking around online and found these adorable repurposed boot plants that the DIY set is making in RL. Look at it...isn't that just so cute?
Inspiration photo
Anyway, I had to have it for my game but I thought it would look a little cuter as a re-used higher end boot. I mixed and matched all the flower and boot colors I made so there is a total of 31 swatches. It's perfect for an entryway as shown above or in a sunny garden spot as shown below. The download is below the last picture. I hope you enjoy it! #om #plant # clutter #shabby chic

I think this cart by EA is super cute but it has a few unfortunate drawbacks. The first is that, for some reason, they made it so the bottom shelf is not wide enough to touch the legs so it appears to be hovering in mid-air. The second is those three plants plunked right down in the middle of both surfaces and that leads to the third which is, of course, the thing has no slots where you can put what you'd rather have on it than EA's plants. This mod fixes all of those problems by removing the plants, fixing the texture so the shadow artifact left behind by that removal is gone, widening the lower shelf so it's attached to the rest of the mesh, and adding 44 slots. I've also edited the spoke portion of the mesh to correct some sloppy mapping there which caused the spokes to need a large file alpha image instead of a standard image that is far lower in size. The top shelf has 1 large, and 2 medium slots and the bottom has 1 medium slot. The rest are small slots on both shelves. It's far more versatile now and can be used anywhere from the kitchen to the garden. It's superior enough to the original that I felt it was best to make it as a default override so you don't end up with two similar items in your catalog. I left it in plants where you're used to seeing it and also tagged it as a miscellaneous surface. I lowered the price a bit since you are only buying a cart and not a cart with three potted plants. If anyone is concerned about losing the hyacinths on the top shelf I plan to release them separately but I need to finish making recolors for them. The plant on the bottom shelf is already in EA's catalog so I'm not going to release that one.
The .package contains a full clone because the only resource I didn't need to mess with was the Light and that is so small it hardly seemed worth deleting that one little thing. It has all the EA colors on the same EA wood pattern the original has. I hope you will enjoy it and find it as useful as I do. The download is below the last picture and the picture credits.

My teapot planter is one of my favorite things I've made for Sims 4 but I wanted to make it more versatile. I also wanted to be able to use the lavender plant in my soup can planter. So I've split these two items apart and made the lavender plant a bit smaller. I still wanted a full lavender look in the teapot so I re-meshed the lavender to be a bit more full and added 5 slots to the teapot instead of just one. So you can add multiple lavender plants and have more than one color in the pot at a time. The small succulents I made will also fit in the teapot planter and they look really cute growing together there. The lavender plant references the images of the teapot so you will need the teapot in your mods folder in order for the lavender plant to work correctly. The teapot has 10 swatches and the lavender plant has 8. I hope you will enjoy it! Oldbox has created some very pretty recolors of the teapot. Check them out HERE. My Sims originally got the Heatseeker fireplace but then they added a new member to the family and had to get a larger house. Larger house...larger fireplace so it was back to Studio for me to add more slots to EA's very nice Viva Victoriana fireplace. I added more slots to EA's original skimpy row of slots, moved that row a bit, and added three more rows of slots. It has 82 small deco slots and 11 medium deco slots for a total of 93. Now you can clutter up the whole surface from back to front and from one side to the other. The great thing about this fireplace is that the surface is so large that you can put all the clutter shown in the picture above without any of it clipping. The Sims will, of course, use the fireplace even with the slots filled. This is a default replacement that replaces the Slot and Rig resource of the original. This means that you won't have two versions of the same fireplace in the game and the file itself is very small. The download is below the picture credits. Picture Credits (in no particular order): potted herbs on tray - Omorfi-Mera, framed portraits and Sim photos - KiwiSims4, gleaming, reflective marble flooring - Brujah236, Naruto corkboard wall decor - Sammoyke, and the zodiac wine bottles - Design 4 Sims. It took a lot of clutter to fill this fireplace surface #om #fireplace #EA fix #default override #slot mod

Having added a large fireplace to their home my Sims now wanted a large mirror to go over it. So I took one of the EA paintings and made it into a mirror. It came in copper, bronze, and gold and I added white gold, silver, and verdigris swatches for it. The mirror will slide up and down on the wall like a painting so you can get the exact placement you want. I hope you will enjoy it #om #mirror #wall decor #Maxis match

I originally made this rug set for Sims 3 and I've missed having it in my game so I've moved it on over to Sims 4 now. Since EA has fixed the little problem their rugs had with the in-game enlarge tool I made it approximately 2 x 1 so it can be used for a nice foyer rug or welcome mat...probably it would look good as a bath rug also. If you use the ] key on it in game you can enlarge it to be a 2 x 3 rug perfect for an area rug. It will enlarge all the way to cover a very large floor space. It has 10 swatches in a variety of neutral and jewel tones. I hope you will enjoy it. The download is beneath the picture credits. #om #rug #decor

I wanted some additional wall colors that shared EA's white trim. If you do too here they are So far I've used them to create a sunny kitchen, design a coordinated look in a bedroom, and warm up an otherwise somewhat chilly and imposing hallway so they're pretty useful. All the pictures and swatches are from in the game. I hope you will enjoy them. The download is below the picture credits. #wall #om
