I'm relatively new to all of this, but I've had success so far making recolors of things. I don't touch the mesh or anything, I just export the texture file and then import it in once I've altered the colors.
Recently I spent some time recoloring the top bunk and matching bottom bed of both the metal and modpod base game bunk beds. However, when I put them into the game, my sims couldn't sleep on the bottom bunk. The top bunk works fine and they can sit on the bottom, but they wave their hands around with a "there's something in the way" bubble if I ask them to relax or sleep on the bottom bunk. The bottom bed works fine if it's on its own. I can use the modified top bunks with base game beds and the base game bunk beds work normally. So the problem seems to just be with my recolored bottom beds.
Additionally, I have a recolor of the monster free bed which won't slot into the bottom at all, even though the regular monster free bed does.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
(I know I'm supposed to attach the package files, but I'm not entirely sure how I'm expected to do that.)
