Hello - I am a relatively new user of blender but no time like the present to try something new hey? I have been frankenmeshing two EA meshes and altering them slightly in size/shape to use for a dress I am trying to create. The issue I'm having is I want to remove the part of the mesh that is a drawstring-bow from the original and have it be just smooth (see below, selected in inverse). I've tried doing this by removing the vertices and recreating them but this has caused big problems and also messes up my UV map on the left (as in, the new vertices don't show). My question is how can I remove this piece of mesh whilst keeping the UV map and mesh intact - will I have to re-do the UV map? (gulp...) I've been agonising over it for hours so help much appreciated!

When you select the edges and press F, that doesn't work? Share your blend. I'd like to experiment a little. This is a problem I've run into as well and I've got a couple of methods I'd like to try.

Hi. Just dissolve edges that outline the drawstring bow but keep the ones that would, like, maintain the edge flow
