I can't download your blend. It says I need access. It says that you shouldn’t need acces but I will try and update the links, meanwhile, do you have any idea what might cause the problem?

Are the mesh groups done correctly? Are you using EA's bedding or custom ones? It sounds like the bedframe is somehow being grouped with the bedding and is therefore affected by the animation.

The bed mesh and the mattress are the same mesh. Is this what’s causing the problem? I’d so is there an easy way to detach the mesh from the bedding? The bedding is ea’s. When I export red the file to blender I edited ea’s mesh directly with the bedding attached.

If they're in the same cut/mesh group then yes. Select the bed in edit mode (not the mattress) and press CTRL + P to separate them, then in object mode select both the bed and ladder and join them with CTRL + J.

I have followed these instructions, but because the bedding is separate from the frame s4s only shows the frame of the bed. Is there a way to fix it so that the frame and the bed are one item? And if not, how do you make them separate?

Did you clone it from an EA bed or CC separated bedding?

When I went to make the bed I exported the ea item, edited the mesh so it had the fram that I wanted and then imported it back to s4s. Now, I have a mesh with the bed frame and ladder and a mesh with the original ea bedding (both in the same blend file) Did I do something wrong when I started the project and is there an easy way to fix it?

here is a link to a folder with all of the blender files. It should now work. 1drv.ms/u/s!Ai3JAB5qCdrghNccuGK_yicVriexxA?e=bRKjL6 You need to copy the whole link and paste it into your browser. The different versions are the three different ladder placements of the bunkbed. The first one is the only one ive edited since yesterday though.
