Recently I tried clearing up my CC and noticed that after I unmerged my CC (that I merged to cut down on game loading), the CC dining/desk chairs I had installed did not show up in game. Some chairs did work and were in game, and I'm pretty sure it's because they were made after the patch that broke CC chairs. Anyways, I went through my mods folder to see if the packages were still there and they were, but they had just stopped working for some reason.
Next thing I did was pull all the CC chairs I had into the Sims 4 Studio mods folder, and when I opened Sims 4 Studio, the chairs didn't show up there either.
One thing to note is that these chairs showed up in game before I unmerged the packages they were in, and I had had no trouble with them at all. Not until I unmerged them at least. This only occurred after I had batch fixed my merged packages to fix the CC chairs after the update broke them, and previously my CC chairs would show up when I unmerge the merged packages.
I haven't done much more testing with the whole thing and it may not precisely be the batch fix causing issues, but I'm pretty sure it is. My saves and CAS CC are 100% intact though. If anyone has any suggestions or is facing the same problem please reply to this thread.
Thanks!

I'm having the same issue. I was also trying to sort out some CC I didn't want anymore but found that unmerging breaks a good chunk of my Comfort CC. I'd like to know if there is any way to fix this as well.

The batchfix for chairs changes instance numbers -- it's what makes the batchfix work, since the thing that is broken is certain kinds of instance numbers, and the batchfix replaces the broken kind with a working kind. Changing the instance numbers means they don't match the list of what's in the merged package anymore. When the contents of the merged package no longer match the contents of the list of what's in it, it's no longer possible to unmerge the files correctly. There's no way around this; either unmerge before batchfixing, don't unmerge, or don't merge in the first place.

Hi Cidra, just adding a question to the previous ones: Would the batchfix work for broken chairs in merged packages (without unmerging) as well as for other objects? I used it this way lately for some broken bathtubs and it worked fine. I just keep a back up of the merged packages before batchfixing for some time. Thank you in advance.

It will probably fix the chairs, you'll just never be able to unmerge the package correctly.

Cidra, thank you so much.... I'll be careful after having read this whole thread... I won't unmerge the fixed packages. Besides I always keep a back up of everything before merging, running a batchfix or making any change. Thank you again for being such a life saver.
