idk how to word the title to portray what the heck im experiencing lol
ok, so i've been a S4S user for maybe a year or 2 now, and everything was going good; made some successful recolors, poses, mesh swaps/edits for my own use....
until i got a new laptop with a newer Windows version.
now i've started to understand Blender more than ever before, having 2.77 and 2.92, even learning to make my own humanoid models from scratch. so i got excited and redownloaded Blender 2.70 for S4S......and it doesn't display properly. AT ALL. like to an unusable degree. it loads up all grayed out (like as if the window was unresponsive) and if i so much as move my mouse it flashes big green bars and distorts my ENTIRE screen. i've tried messing around with the Blender settings, Nvidia settings, un-/re-installing 2.70, i have no clue what to do! i saw someone in an older thread (for a different Blender 2.70 display issue...but i followed anyway ) suggest going full-screen but that froze my entire computer.
looking around here, i saw claims that S4S in theory should work with other Blender versions, including 2.77, which i have and displays fine for me. but when i tried linking it to S4S, i got a popup claiming it needed 2.70....so i tried downloading the open beta S4S incase it were more recently updated but got the same results.
what do i do?? i really want to make cc again but don't want to pull out my old half-broken laptop and transfer files just to do it! help!

Hi. Blender itself not working is not really something we, people on s4s forum, can help you with, but my guess is, 2.7 is just too old for your pc. The version we recommend to people is 2.76. It seems to works for everyone and so is the s4s plugin for it. So you should install it, change s4s settings to 2.76, close s4s and blender if it was open, open s4s, and export the blend again if that is what you were doing. You do not need 2.7 or anything else, only 2.76. You can work in the latest version of blender but use 2.76 as a bridge (just append the mesh, assign cut number(s) and type, save)

For what it's worth, Blender 2.70 looks faded on my machine, too. Though I don't have trouble with how it functions. Just its appearance.
