Hello everyone, i just started with the clayifing stuff today, starting with leahlilith for complete personal use with no intentions of sharing or updating it without permission, everything was fine until i try to clayify Ari and Ayelle hairs, in game, the character i put the clayified hair ends up with the skin texture over the clothing, skin colour eyes, no brows, is nasty, i dont know what happened, as i was doing the same thing with no problems until those hairstyles, i am using SIMANDY hair colour psd actions, im using Intel Texture Works for dds, Nvidia plugin never wanted to work on my end Original CC Ari www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims4-hair-hairstyles-female/title/leahlillith-ari-hair/id/1411346/Ayelle www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims4-hair-hairstyles-female/title/leahlillith-ayelle-hair/id/1383501/My Clayfied try Ari drive.google.com/file/d/13FOdKcF-HwgyIoIGYPuZP2steol1WQfD/view?usp=sharingAyelle drive.google.com/file/d/1ZLyaLGaAiLPz-jRUhke69DpgvUlo-opW/view?usp=sharingbug image drive.google.com/file/d/1A9QxDttdDl5lWZ2LmwtaStOtKfadHIJL/view?usp=sharingRedluft Modder working Clayfied hair Ari redluft.tumblr.com/post/173747486508/leahlillith-ari-hair-clayified-a-maxis-matchS4S Version: Wishes 1.3.5.2 Game Version: 1.76.81.1020

There are no meshes in either package you shared. Are they dependent on Leah Lillith's meshes?
Edit: I'm thinking that you were just making recolors that were supposed to reference Leah Lillith's meshes and put Leah Lillith's files in Sims4Studio's mods folder so that the mesh will show up in S4S. And perhaps you didn't move those files, because when I put Leah Lillith's files and yours in the game's mods folder, it worked fine. Just make sure all four files are in the game's mods folder. You can merge them all if you want to. You can even clone a hair and import Leah Lillith's meshes and your textures and make new, standalone files. If you're doing this just for personal use, I don't see a problem with making a standalone recolor.

yes yes, is just recolour, i only have my clay recolour tries and the original mod files, i didnt include the meshes in those packages nor in this post of course, for the tou, so i shared the main link to avoid breaking any rule (rofl) but on my end it simply doesnt work and suffers that strange bug, i have both files in the same mod folder, is strange ps: im trying to import the mesh of the original mod to my recolour, it just stuck in importing mesh and doesnt do anything sigh, i thought was going to be easier

I think i might have fixed it by changing the DDS manager from intel to nvidia, i manage to find one really updated and works, it seems that those hairs cant be handled by intel but nvidia dds thingy, i will update this thread to SOLVED if this actually works, so far so good

You can look at this thread for more information about the Nvidia plugins. I shared a link there with all of the Nvidia plugins that I have. There are also screenshots of the Nvidia plugin settings when saving a DDS file with an alpha channel. I think the Intel plugin is supposed to be for video cards that are not made by Nvidia but I'm not sure of this. I've never used the Intel plugin myself. I use the Nvidia plugin version 8.55 (which is a few years old) because the 2021 version caused major lag and it was driving me crazy. Are you still having problems importing the mesh?

Well, you shouldn't be having issues importing a mesh so I don't know what's going on. I'd need more detail from you if you want to troubleshoot.

No worries, as my recolours are not asking for it, it might be that the mesh has too many polygons (from 20k, to 30k and beyond), is normal for s4s to take so much time importing the mesh i exported?, but again, my main issue is solved

Well, in fact importing the mesh of the original to my recoloaur is out of the question, is just there saying Importing Mesh with the little green circle of load, is for being so high poly yes?, i really want to get rid the alpha ones and use only may clayfied hairs to 'save diskspace'

It certainly could be loading forever because it's high poly. Are you getting an error?

Nope it just stays there is it normal?, well Anto and Leah use like from 5k to 30k polys, so is normal to take so much time exporting and importing, snap, i have like 63 hairs to clay from leah and like 73 from anto, im afraid i cant get rid of the alpha ones if importing the mesh takes so many hours or forever :/

Wait, why are you even re-importing it? For clarifying hair you do not need to edit the mesh
20-30k is 2-3 times more than any maxis mesh, so yes, it will take time, but not 10+ minutes

hello good sir, yes i dont need it but fwecka made me wonder if i can: PLAN A 1)Include the mesh in my clays 2)remove the original alpha but with my clays working as intended without the bald sim bug So i only get my clay version without the need of having the original occuping space, i wont use alpha anymore so that is why i clayifing and i was thinking if i can do that, of course, for personal use, i wont violate the TOU of TSR, is going to be just for me, but if i cant or takes far too much time i wont, i have an idea, a plan b of sorts, to make the alpha hairs weight less, by removing every swatch of them only leaving one, as i only need the mesh of teh original for my recoulour to work incase i cant do plan A

1). There is a feature that allows you to include everything referenced. Tools - Modding - embed all externally referenced resources; 2). If you do not plan to share it with other people, you can just replace the textures of the original package and change the shader. - Click on My projects in the main menu, choose the package you need; - export all of its textures by pressing Shift Ctrl C for the console to pop up and entering export.all . This will create a folder in the same directory as your file with all exported resources; - open this folder (do not rename it or put in any other location!), delete all .blend files, shadow, spec, normal maps. You only need diffuse textures. - in photoshop open the first texture, replace it with maxis texture, Save as (replace the exported texture of the same color); - color adjust it and do for other files; - once you replace all of them, in s4s open the console again, type import.all; - change shaders of meshgroups from Simglass to Simskin
