As a pose creator, my first thought when Cottage Living was announced was "I can't wait to make cute farm poses with all the new animals!"
Now that Cottage Living is out... is it possible to do this? I'd love to be able to pose the cows, llamas, chickens, bunnies, and foxes like we can with the cats and dogs. I usually make my own custom rigs with the Sim Ripper or export a default rig from S4S but of course, the animals are technically objects and so don't show up for export in either of these programs.
I'd love some thoughts and feedback on how to pose the livestock, if it's possible to pose them, and how that might be done if it is possible.

Use any option for objects on the Main Menu, then find the livestock in debug, save the package, when the package loads extract the mesh of the animal. This will contain the rig and weighted mesh you can pose with, just like if you had extracted one from the posing section.

Foxes are actually Sims in Cottage Living, so their rig would have to be exported from the game using Sims4Studio in order to pose them, correct? Because if you find the fox in the debug section, it's just a still fox that doesn't move or have a rig. I tried this and the updated S4S did not include the option as it did for other sims and animals.

I tried this and the updated S4S did not include the option as it did for other sims and animals. I really wouldn't know about how to export the fox rigs. I moreso wanted the cow, llama, chicken, and bunny rigs. My new issue is how to actually make them pose in the game once I've created and packaged up the pose itself. I can't click on them to assign a pose using the pose player like I can for Sims and pets since these animals are, in fact, objects.

Bumping this as it's been several days. I know I received a response about exporting the rigs but I'm still struggling with how to get the animals to pose in-game without being able to use the pose player. Anyone have any advice or ideas? I'm hoping there's a really simple solution that I'm just not seeing because I overthink everything, aha.

Hmmmm, unfortunately there isn't an easy way to pose them in-game without making it into a mod. I would recommend tagging Andrew (or post if there's a poseplayer thread? don't remember seeing one for feedback) so he's aware and may possibly add it in a future update.

Thanks. I also asked SrslySims about this and she suggested the same thing. I just hate to pester modders when I know they're already so busy and get so many rude people making demands of them all the time. I may ask, though. There is a thread here for the mod. I don't know if it's open to feedback, but I'll check. Thanks again. EDIT: Well I keep getting a plugin key length error message when I try to leave a comment on the mod itself so I guess I'll tag him here, heh. andrew would it be possible to to add pose player options to the livestock, bunnies, and foxes from CoL? Pose creators are able to extract the rigs and create the poses for them, but there's no way to assign the poses to the animals in the game.
