I do a lot of story writing and sometimes I need an animal to stick around for a good long while... Would love to get an immortal trait for them. So I don't have to worry about them dying off too quickly.
I have an instance where I'm using dogs and cats as animal forms for shapeshifters. So I have for example, 1 alien/vamp sim who is made into a human form, a hybrid animal looking form and then a use a dog or a cat as a full animal form.
Would be tickled if someone could figure out how to do that? Or point me to a tutorial and I'll try and make it on my own.
Thanks!

I don't know of an immortal trait for pets, but there is a game mechanic that will let your pets live forever, as long as you pay attention. The vet's office will have a vending machine, which will sell you an Age Down Treat. Whenever your pet ages up to Elder, feed them this treat and they will age back down to Day 1 of Adult. Note that if you don't wait for them to become an Elder, the treat will make them a puppy or kitten!

Thanks, let me know if it works. I basically made a trait that enabled the immortality flag. It hasn't been super thoroughly tested, so let me know if you have problems with it.
