I've been trying to make this cc painting i made have a flirty environmental effect in s4s and I can't for the life of me get it to work. I've had someone look at it twice and give me suggestions but it's still not working. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, and I can't find any tuts on the s4s website. Every time I go to place it down it throws an exception. This last time I edited it, it stopped throwing errors but I still can't place the dang picture lol It just disappears. imgur.com/a/2b7WJfUI'm using s4s version 3.1.5.2 I don't know how to attach the package file to this thread.. figured it out here is my patreon post with the le and package file, it is free so you don't need to subscribe to see/download it.

I'm just looking for a tutorial on how to add an environmental moodlet to wall art/decor at this point. I know there is a tut for the toggle-able emotional aura, but i can't find one for environmental moodlets.

I can't help you with this but sometimes, I think, it helps to know what direction to look. I can tell you that MizoreYukii is the most knowledgeable when it comes to what you're doing. If she doesn't see your post and respond you can try looking through her posts here and see if there's anything that will help. She has a Tumblr page here, as well that has some tutorials.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! Unfortunately she does not have any tuts on her tumblr for environmental moods, I just looked. I'm thinking about scrapping this one and making a new s4package. maybe this one has a weird effect that I clicked on when I was dinking around trying to fix it by peoples suggestions.

I'm new to object making so take this with a grain of salt. I noticed that there's no footprint nor rig in your package file. That might be why the painting can't be put down. (Please have someone else confirm if this is related or not.)

(Please have someone else confirm if this is related or not.) Mercuryfoam is right. There is no rig or footprint in your package but the painting you cloned has a rig and footprint, so somehow you must have removed them. A rig is for animation and I know it's strange, but everything in the game must have a rig, even if it's a static item. A footprint simply tells the game where in 3D space your object exists. You need a footprint so the the game knows where your item is placed in your game and can render it appropriately. You'll need to start over with a new clone and import your textures (and meshes if you've changed the mesh) again. If you're trying to change the emotional aura you can look at this tutorial. There's also this thread that describes how to change the environment score. I've never done either before so I don't have experience with any of it, unfortunately. You can also change the tuning of your item so that your item behaves like something else in the game. I've done this a lot with beds and stoves, etc. where someone cloned a low-end bed and I wanted the bed to have the same stats as a high-end bed. It's pretty easy to do. Hope this helps!
