Hi. To be affected by the rig, all parts of the sim you exported from the game must:
- have Armature modifier (Add modifier - Armature) added and the rig chosen in the drop-down menu(ignore the underlined area, pay attention to the rig);

- be rigged. If they have nothing in the vertex group list and the tutorial you're following did not cover it, find another tutorial.
