Well to be honest modifying their content especially the sims does prevent them to sell items and packages that it will bring them money .
For example the glass floor i want to make , if it was easy their packages that contain glass floors would stay on the rack and wouldn't cost 40$ to get them .....
I do understand it but still modifying their content it is not as easy as it looks and having a guide line would be nice .
The thing is that most of the questions i have are about stuff that other 3d programs use too and as i said many times i do find them on google but other times i am swimming on open ocean of Information :P .
Still i manage to do half of what i wanted and i am quite happy <3 .
But if you think about it we could make a catalogue about those things since with trial an error ( a lot of it ) we do find out how they work ( short of ) .
Any how that requires huge collaboration and i shouldn't talk about it since i don't think i can contribute so much as other people that they are on the pro side of the wall :D .

I think the biggest complaint is that EA doesn't share their coding (python, I think, so at least we know that, haha) while other game developers do. It's dumb, in my opinion. I think the modding community is a huge reason why Sims games sell so well. Any game that can be modded is guaranteed to be a popular game. Look at Skyrim. Bethesda updated the game engine from 32 bit to 64 bit because the game is still going strong after all these years, in spite of how terrible the textures and meshes are. It was worth it for them to put in all that time and effort to update the game and they can thank the modding community for the sales.
As for putting together a catalog. Honestly, I started keeping on offline library of tutorials and stuff about four years ago. For a long time, I took screenshots of posts that I ran across that I thought were helpful. I have literally 12 gig worth of info I've collected, lol. I'm just glad there are people here willing to share what they know. That wasn't really true when it came to TS3 creating. It was harder to get any kind of guidance. You had to search all over the internet just to get scraps of information. Or you'd ask a question on a forum and you'd never, ever get a reply. Many times, I just gave up and didn't even try to complete projects. Everything was centered around Milkshape, as well, and Milkshape makes me want to claw my face off. I can't mesh with it. It's awful.
