I've been playing a lot of Discover University lately, and as many others have noted, the gameplay gets repetitive after a while. I think this could be easily fixed by replacing some of the many term papers / final presentations / final exams with practical projects related to the subject matter. A creative writing class, for example, might require your sim to write a novel as the final project, a P.E. class might require that you complete an endurance run, or a painting class could require your sim to craft a painting in a particular style, etc. If this mod included cross-pack compatability, maybe a stage combat class in the Drama degree could require successfully performing a risky fight scene on the stage marks from Get Famous, a biology class on mammals could require crafting a high-quality veterinary treat using the crafting station from Cats & Dogs, or an elective in archaeology might require authenticating an artifact (Jungle Adventure). I think such a mod would go a long way towards making university gameplay more interesting, and adding some differentiation between the degrees.
That said, I am not a coder, and I don't know if the finals are even linked to specific classes or randomly assigned when your sim creates their semester schedule. If the latter is true, this is probably an impossible ask. I would appreciate a "this is impossible" post from someone in the know just as much as an "I'm on it" post if this is doable and someone thinks it's a good idea. If it IS possible, I think it could really enhance university gameplay for a lot of people.
As I said, I can't code, but I would be happy to collaborate by supplying a table of final project ideas if that's of interest to anyone who wants to take this on.
Many thanks!

This would make university so much better...!
So, I'm not an expert or anything, but I poked around a bit in the university careers tunning... each course does have an associated final type (exam, paper, presentation), but as far as I can tell these types can't be modified in the tuning, so if it's possible it would need to be a script mod (harder to make) :(
