Hello everyone! I made a new pants mesh which I want to combine it with boots.( I already made and the boots mesh but I want firstly to finish the pants.) The mesh is this: But now I stucked and I don't know how to continiue with these meshes. Shall I combine them or not? Please can anyone help me? I don't think Pants and shoes can be combined. Because both are totally different CAS parts. If you want to combine them. You have to make 2 separate files, 1 pants and 1 shoes.🤔

Did you clone pants with the same amount of mesh groups? If so, then you must keep 4 groups. You must work with the same amount of mesh groups as your cloned one :D. Sometimes it's best to use pants with 1 mesh group, (mostly underwear or nude mesh) and combine all your groups together in one. This is also required when doing your weight transfer, data transfer etc. See this tutorial for more info about that .

You have already done this, it is no different from the dress.
- the modified version of the pants you cloned is longer than the original, so you need to clone shorter pants and use them as a reference for how to do things;
- clone ymBottom_PantsSkinnyCalf, export blend, open it in a separate window. Look at cut numbers. The counts starts from the bottom. Close this blend; - open the blend with your custom pants, delete s4studio_mesh_1. Give s4studio_mesh_2 0000, 0001 to s4studio_mesh_3, 0002 to s4studio_mesh_4; - import in ymBottom_PantsSkinnyCalf
After that clone the tallest boots and do the same exact thing with your custom boots

Thank you Silerna and mauvemorn. I followed you advice. I did also and the weight transfer and uv 1. In sims 4 studio the pants looks ok, but I still have some problems in CAS: why the mesh appears like this? The texture looks too shiny and altered. How can I fix this problems? In the pants blend, select s4studio_mesh_2, in edit mode select everything and Mesh - Clean up - Delete loose.
There is no need to re-do anything. Delete s4studio_mesh_1, clone shorter boots, assign different cuts.

Thank you again for the help mauvemorn. I did the weight transfer with shorter boots and normalize the weights, and also the uv_1. I did the cuts like the shorter boots. Or move the boots up? Surely it depends if the boots are causing the issue or the pants.
