Hello, I hope somebody can help me. I would like to have the symbols on the various buttons in the interior of the car light up. I've tried a few things with different lights. But unfortunately it doesn't work. I found a lamp where the symbols light up, but then the car window is missing. If I reduce the transparency of the car window, you can see it, but not a bit of transparency. The difference between the two lamps: -the first lamp in the picture has 2 meshes (normal and glass) -the second has only one mesh. both lamps only have one texture. For the first lamp I added the symbols to the glass texture so they are transparent. As you can see in the picture, it doesn't light up. Can a glass texture shine at all? Do you maybe have an idea how I can get the symbols to be transparent and glowing?
This is what it looks like when the symbols are not connected to a glass mesh:

Phong will make your material either 100% opaque or 100% transparent. You can set the threshold for your mask using AlphaMaskThreshold in the material settings. A disadvantage of Phong is that the edges are not antialiased. How to add a mask
1. Warehouse > MLOD 00000000 > Edit Items > Phong > Material, Entries — Edit Items > VariantId: set1. 2. Copy the DiffuseMap item, select AlphaMap from the dropdown list. 3. Change the AlphaMaskThreshold value. 4. Repeat for all states, swatches and LODs. PhongAlpha allows your material to have a range of transparency. To make your PhongAlpha material glow, set UseVertSelfIllumination to 1. Comparison of PhongAlpha and Phong: | | | Alpha Mask | PhongAlpha | Phong (Threshold = 60) |

Changing the "UseVertSelfIllumination" helped. It now lights up, it is transparent and the car window can be seen. Thanks alot. I'm so happy now Thousand kisses for you :-* I can finish the project now :D I tried adding that with the alpha, but it didn't work. The object that I have without alpha, which only has one mesh in blender, only has the function for Mlod 1 that I can add alpha there. Since the object only has 2 lods for meshes and 2 lods for shadows. But I'll try it again with other objects. Thanks again for the help :-*
