*Move this post, if it doesn't necessarily belong here*
Some simple questions, really.
1.) How do I use Save As for copy usage? I'm making poses and I was trying to test and see how I could import the clip, so if I wanted to, change and fix things up. Can I get a step-by-step tutorial, because I watched Kaleeko's vids, but I don't think she really explained on how you'd do that. 2.) Why was my sim model's head black while I was trying to formulate a pose? Did I not properly save a bone joint before moving on to a newer position? Because I had just moved down the eyes before I switched over to their fingers. While I was trying to figure out the model's movements, I scrolled out and noticed that their head was pitched black. I tried undoing the progress I made prior, but it didn't change back to normal, thus, I had to recover my last saved session (which is why I want to know how to save, if I can do this without relying on the "Save As" option, so I can pick off where I left off, that'd be nice too. Either is fine, honestly).
Edit: Just FYI, for saving, I guess I did the action by double-pressing "a", then "i", before I clicked "LocRot", but I still haven't figured out how to re-upload it to Blender.

Hi. Pose making is not my area of knowledge, but I must ask if there is a reason you’re using a version of blender that old? You should also be aware that it is not supported by s4s, so you will not be able to import the blend in s4s If you can play s4s on your pc, you should be able to run at least 2.70.
The head may be black because of the missing textures/material. 2.67 may not support new materials

mauvemorn, Simply put, I couldn't find a video that was detailed enough like 2.67 and so when I tried downloading the latest version of Blender (whenever that was), I was lost as to where everything was as far as settings and commands go, so I went searching for the old download instead. I'm still clearly in the beginner stages, but I probably was just overwhelmed with how 3D modeling worked. Edit: I've currently upgraded to 2.70 to see if it changes anything that issue. I am using the latest s4s application as well, fyi.

If it’s not a matter of your computer performance, you can use 2.7, 2.76-2.79 versions as well. These are the supported ones. Yeah, for a beginner, following the tutorial in the latest version of blender is not a good idea (very different interface), so you did the right thing by downloading the older version

orangemittensDo you know if there's a way to open the animation file so that I can edit my pose? I didn't realize that it had to be saved as ".blend" since I didn't hear about it in the tutorial, I only ran across it sometime later in a forum. I only have the .package and .ani file, but whenever I tried opening it, it wouldn't go through. I figured the "recover last session" option would still be relevant if sometime down the line I wanted to come back, but apparently it removed itself at some point.

Hi. I think you're trying to do things the wrong way. What is that .avi file? Where did you get it from?

mauvemorn Don't know how this step got bypassed, but I figured out what was wrong. I didn't save the pose as a blender file, I only saved it as a package. I guess that step wasn't really explained well in that video (or at all?). Plus, now everything is updated, so I won't have that black head error, again. I watched a more simpler breakdown on how blender works from tutorials regarding sims 4 instead. So far, it has helped, so I think I'm good? 🤷🏾♀️
