hii so i've noticed that some cc (both alpha and mm, but mostly alpha) have a certain type of look to them. it looks like the mesh is just a nude body mesh with a texture placed on it. here is an example. i want to make ripped shorts like those and i have a texture that i've extracted from a 3d model from another game and i know i need to reduce the size of the texture to fit on the sims 4 base texture, but i'm not sure where to go from there. does anyone know how to achieve this? thanks in advance:)

hi camprock1862 to do this, i would export either the nude bottom or a pair of bikini bottoms. after you have done this, you export the diffuse texture from studio and edit it with the software of your choice. to make sure your new texture fits on EA's texture you can use a uv0 guide. you can find a template of sims uv0 layouts here or export the uv layout of your mesh with blender. if you're not sure where exactly the texture should go/how it fits on the uv template then you could take a look at the diffuse texture of some EA shorts for comparison. if you're using bikini bottoms as your base mesh and don't want to make new specular, normal and shadow maps for your shorts replace the ones already there with blanks. hopefully this gives you a general idea how to approach a project like this
