Beautiful things francien I really liked the end table! Oh, and Im with paika, I too love Industrial, the raw bricks with concrete, wood and big windows! Would be cool to see you tackle that aswell Francien, but you do things when you feel like it. I tried Blender, but as I transferd my object from Google Sketch to Blender, it was just probelm after problem... I dont know what to do, because I never found a tutorial about transfering things from Sketcup to Blender, so I got a beautiful Buddha statue just sitting there

Beautiful things francienOh, and Im with paika, I too love Industrial, the raw bricks with concrete, wood and big windows! Would be cool to see you tackle that aswell Francien, but you do things when you feel like it. I tried Blender, but as I transferd my object from Google Sketch to Blender, it was just probelm after problem... I dont know what to do, because I never found a tutorial about transfering things from Sketcup to Blender, so I got a beautiful Buddha statue just sitting there Thank you again I haven't done anything yet..to busy in rl..and you are so right, I Always do things when I feel like it, than it works, that is with most things..lol I'm Always feeling my gutts if I don't it mostly become a mess Yesterday I have been building, late in the evening when everyone where sleeping, nice also to put your mind on something different. About Blender..pfww I have no clue yet how it works all I'm doing is recoloring but I love to learn to make my own things..When building I need some rare items wich you can't find or when you find them you don't may share them inside the lot or you don't may to recolor them or must put a link back etc. I understand that the creator put a huge lot of time in each item but when you want to share something it's a pain in the ass atleast I find so..So for sure I'm going to give it a try I suppose it's just like painting when you do that everyday you going to understand it better and better. About your objects transferring, I have no clue but you knew that already in the meantime, wish I could help you out with it..maybe somewhere here on the forum? It would be a shame when your Buddha stay's there staring at you..When I find a tuturial you need I will say it right away..just keep my eyes open, you never know

Francien the Chinese dresser is lovely...I hope you'll consider sharing some of your beautiful things at some point. Your style is unique I found Blender a little non-intuitive to learn because I started in Milkshape which is a fairly limited and simple tool. Once I got familiar with the keyboard shortcuts I found Blender a lot easier to work with though...it has a lot more features that speed the meshing process and the mapping is far more flexible. I wrote two start to finish Blender meshing tutorials, one for CAS and one for objects, and both go over a lot of the basic things you need to know to make a mesh. If anyone gives those a shot and runs into questions I'm happy to help For CAS meshing, for almost all items, you're sort of stuck using Blender at some point or else going without a second UV that the game needs to allow the item to move with the CAS slider system. For objects though you can use any 3D editor you want that can export using an extension Blender will import. For Milkshape one of the most commonly used formats is .obj and Blender will import .obj. You can make and map your item in Milkshape and export it as .obj. From there you import the .obj into Blender and swap your mesh for the EA mesh and that's pretty much it...Studio will handle the joint assignment, vertex paint, and second UV for you. I wrote a tutorial going over this process and the item I used for it was one I originally made and mapped using Milkshape. J Mzungu, I looked at the formats the non-pro version of Sketchup can export in and it looks like COLLADA (.dae) would be the one that Blender is able to import. If you have the pro version you could also export your item from Sketchup as .obj. I've never tried importing .dae to Blender so I can't speak to how well that works. If you're interested in pursuing this, you're exporting as .dae instead of .obj, and you need a hand I could take a look at your statue if you export it out as a .dae. Most of the tutorials linked above look like they're talking about exporting items from Sketchup for making rendered scenes in Blender and so they're including steps you don't need to worry about. All you need to export is the mapped mesh itself. For the Sims 4 you don't need that mesh associated with a texture in the item you export...it just needs to be mapped. It also won't need any kind of joint assignment.

Ah thank you so much Orangemitten, and yes ofcourse I love to share them! And many thanks for your explanation about Blender and Milkshape.I have both downloaded and it's just as you said, you have to become familiar with the buttons what I have seen so far from Blender it's for me unknown and gives me the shivers :P
I was already planning to just go and give it a try, I will sure learn from my mistakes..I really want to learn it so that is already win win. Have bookmarked your tutorials it's already a great thought that when I'm stuck I can ask for help.
I'm mainly interessed in objects.Thank you for your awesome reply!

The number of keyboard shortcuts Blender has can be daunting but generally you tend to use the same ones over and over so they get pounded into your memory through sheer repetition. Another thing is you can hit the space bar to get a search box that allows you to type in whatever function you're trying to perform. Blender will bring up a list of functions and you can pick the one you're looking for.

:D I will follow your tutorials it's fine to know that you use most of the times the same keyboard shortcuts think it's a bit getting used on Blender. I remember the first time I used Paintshop pro wich was unknown to me. Now it's just as you said,it's nestled in your memory. Super that the spacebar can do that!
The one thing I hope I understand is the language but I keep faith :D If I don't understand something I will ask help in the forum. Starting simple also till I know how and what..thanks again for the support!

Wow francien - you actually spent time looking for those things to me? Thank you so much, how sweet of you! I looked at the video, however it stoped working half way throu so I'll try it again tomorow. I never throught about instructable having tuts on it, how stupid of me, lol. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me, your a star! And orangemittens thank you for trying to help us. First thing I actually tried when I exported the statue was saving it as .dae but it never showed up in Blender when I did it, and I got the free version of SketchUp and I can save it as .obj and that worked for me when I imported it. Lol I've felt the same Francien first time I've tried anything, I remember when I was going to teach myself HTML for the first time and just thinking "This will never ever happend, this is way to hard" and the same when i taught myself Photoshop and everything else I've ever done really, but then after a while it does get easier.... So i always try to remind myself it, lol. If you ever have any troubles understanding a word Francien, dont hesitate to send me a message and maybe I can help you. We may not speak the same native language but I can try and explain it diffrently.

Ah you are just as sweet for me! :D but I think what Orangemitten said above makes more sense for you. I'm glad I'm not the only one you never forget how stupid I felt not knowing how to do, afterwards it all seems very easy to do. Oh I'm curious if I get the knacks with Blender so I've fire it up with the tutorial of the new meshpainting. Thank you for lending me a helping hand when I'm stuck I know to find you :P
