Sims 4 Not Saving (no error code) Since High School Years

hello everyone, new to the site so if this has been addressed let me know. my game is "picky" on what is wants to save. only certain features save now and i dont understand. i have updated all my mods and havent tested it without mods in, so this could be an issue still but i dont see how? example of whats happening; i create a family and enter them into a house, edit the lot, and give them jobs etc. the edits on the lot delete, the jobs didnt save, and now time went back to the previous sunday. anyone know whats going on? does it sound like a mod issue or a game issue? i have done "repair game" in origin and it went through everything but game still does not save everything. only started doing this after high school years... a friend told me to download s4s and see if i can fix it that way but i have no idea what im doing. any help would be appreciated. thank you!
