Hi, thanks for the help up front. When making jewelry is it better to use blender for the coloring/texturing part or photo editing software ?

The reason I ask is because when I made jewelry I had a problem getting the metal to be a metal color and have a different color for the jewelry. Hope that makes sense. The metal part ended up black, I left it that way after I couldn't get the color on the other part like I wanted it. I was using blender.

For the metal to look like metal, there should be a source of light to reflect in it. Here the author shows how to do that

I'm asking if there is more than one texture like metal and plastic.

You can also change the color of the texture in the image editing software with Hue/Saturation
