I keep trying to install Sims 4 Studio, and I'm finding that every time I try, I'm having the same issue. When I try to run Sims 4 Studio, I get this message seen above reading ".Net Framework Initialization Error" and "Please set registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point to the .Net Framework install location" I don't know enough about computers to know what this means or what I should do to fix this problem. Does anyone know what to do or how to fix this? Thank you for your time and patience. EDIT: I have tried to go and download the up to date .NET Framework and the install did not initiate because ".NET Framework 4.7.2 or a later update is already installed on this computer." so I'm assuming that's not the problem. I've been looking at a few different places to try and resolve the issue, and am asking here in case it's an issue with Sims 4 Studio that someone else has already had or is an otherwise known problem.

Hi. When you’re trying to install net framework, does it offer you to “repair” it instead?

I have tried using Microsoft's .NET Framework Repair Tool, and had no success. It runs, and at the end it sorta just kicks out that after running through all the processes, it hasn't found anything to resolve the issue. I used the tool found here
I've also been checking for system updates and double checking the file location for my Sims game to make sure those aren't the sources of the issue.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm having the same issue. I have installed, reinstalled and repaired .NET framework and s4s still gives me the error pop up as if it wasn't installed at all.
