Hi everyone! Would I have troubles, If I create a cc with resources of museum or auction, for example, and after upload it for public use? I want to use photos not for inspiration, for recreating it in blender and transfer parts of photos like a pattern on mesh. But I don't want troubles in future.

Hi. In theory, you should not be doing this. In practice, they would not care if YOU were to do this. When a big brand wants to print Mona Lisa on shirts to make a lot of money from it, they must pay Louvre first, otherwise there will be a lawsuit. If a gamer decides to put Mona Lisa in the sims 4 and share their creation for free, they would not care. And even if they did, they would simply send you a takedown (please remove this or we will “”””sue you”””) because lawyers charge a lot and they would not be able to win millions from a random person on the internet to compensate for this. However, I would not recommend you to take a small (as in someone who shares their work on the internet only) artist’s work without explicit permission. Not like they will sue you, it’s just not nice because they will most likely learn about it. You can always contact them and ask in advance, they will most likely agree.

Thank You Yes, I want to use things not from small artist, which are alive. I saw the box on one of the sites of famous auctions and wanted to recreate it in sims. But I think they wouldn't even notice me. Just in case, I'll ask: by the same logic, some wallpaper store will not contact me if I borrow their prints? I still thought to indicate their authorship. I don’t know, maybe I’m being too driven about this, but I would like everything to be honest enough.

The wallpaper stores most certainly won’t and even if they were to do it, you would just need to remove your items and everything would be ok
