I do have a modding and 3D artist background actually, but I am not sure if this is something I can fix right in S4S or if I need Blender.
It is a mask that is bound to the shape of the face. I had to convert to the male mesh because it was female only, afterwards some skin was poking through the polys of the mask, I thought no worries all I need to do is push the face in a bit. Low and behold the bone structure and the CC mask can only be morphed as one. They are reliant on each other. What is this called in the Sim modding space and what direction should I be pointed in? Thanks in advance.

Hi. We would need to see the file to get an accurate idea of what you’re talking about, but if I understood you correctly: - the mask did not fit because the head meshes for feminine and masculine frames are not 100% identical; - the head you see in the blend file is not a part of the mask package, it is not imported in it at all. It is there for your convenience. So you cannot modify the head, you need to modify the mask; - the data responsible for morphing with Details mode morphs is lost upon import, you need to use a cheat; - all of that said, you do not need to modify the mesh itself, just change the tags and the game will morph the mask from feminine to masculine itself. Do not touch the gender tag, enable masculine in Fashion choice, then make sure Restrict to opposite gender and frame are disabled

It could be something to do with how it was made. It is not mine but I do not intend to distribute, it's just for my personal use to get that out of the way.
Yeah, it's like the mask IS the skin while still being an object settled very close to the skin, it will morph with the bones even after I tried that last instruction you said. Unless I'm missing something crucial, I will probably just edit the mask in Blender.

- after editing it in blender and importing in the package, open a console with Shift Ctrl C; - type headfixer, press enter; - if the head will still be poking out, exclude it. In the warehouse tab select CAS part, in the search bar to the left type Exclude, enter 8 in the ExcludePartsFlags
