So thanks to amazing tutorials and help, Ive finally figured out how to make normal maps. However, my toilet has weird shadows on the seat. When i went to the warehouse tab, i discovered what looks like a second normal map. I swear there are two normal maps for the toilet. Am I crazy? Can a spec map be grey and look like a normal map? And where the hell is this massive shadow coming from? link

I feel bad asking for this kind of help, but here is the toilet package. Assuming i did the upload right. Im sorry, this is all so new... hmmm, having issues with getting it in the thread OK, here is a link to the toilet package. If someone can figure out this shadow, that would be great. Hm, i get an error when trying to open the package. Did you delete something inside of it?

I didnt delete anything, but I did mess with the normal map. Ill try making a new one and see if it works...

Try replacing those other maps beside the diffuse one at a time to find the one that is causing it

Well, im passed the point of patience with that toilet. In an effort to see if I'm doing everything wrong.... Ive uploaded a shower package that looks good (IMO) and works in my game. I did the normal map and texture on it, but didnt mess with anything else. If someone could test it just to see if im doing things right, that would be amazing!!! Thank you!! BlueMoroccoShower |
