Hey fellow simmers. I really need your help. I'm new to cc making and i'm running in to some trouble. i've worked my ass off to make these standard leggings (which i'm going to make a lot of different styles for) but as i'm testing them before making a lot of prints - they only work with some tops and some shoes. I've inserted some pictures of what my problem is. I tried to change the cut layer without luck. Do you know why this happens? please help a simmer in need. sul sul ![](https://ibb.co/T15X8tV) ![](https://i.ibb.co/C6Fd7Qk/Application-Frame-Host-d-BL4c-MRm-BL.png) ![](https://i.ibb.co/18Bjnj8/Application-Frame-Host-haw-B10-D9-EO.png) ![](https://i.ibb.co/mH1Vntf/Application-Frame-Host-u-Ow-Yb-Nfj-Qe.png)

Hey! Always include your blend nad package file while asking for help, it's easier for us to help you more directly. Now we can only guess what is wrong. Take a look how ea bottoms are done - they are skin painted at the top part to work well with tops and do not cause glitch like yours. As I see on pictures your mesh are like alpha ones (not painted on skin but whole mesh), so it'll glitch with tops like this like all alpha cc does. For shoes problem I think you have wrongly placed uv maps, they are in shoes part which is why shoes texture show on leggins. Use this uv map template to place your bottoms uv correct. If you want your leggins to work with high boots and do not glitch you need to use cut numbers - read about them here. Again study ea bottoms, cause they are cut like this to work with tall boots ![;)](//storage.forums.net/6001674/images/hd4F3G7za38CbE_XVXyc.png)

Hey Dissia. Thank you so much for trying to help me. ![:)](//storage.forums.net/6001674/images/h28jNwXAWOQsMWm0Zae7.png) What is the blend nad package file? I have all the files, but i don't know which one you want me to upload? I have placed the pants right on the uv map of that i'm sure. But i think you might be right about the cut numbers, I just don't udnerstand what i'm doing wrong, and i'm danish, so my english is not the best - maybe i need a bit more of explanation than on the post you tagged - I have looked at it a million times (rofl) and what do you mean about all alpha does this with the tops? i haven't seen that with other cc that i've downloaded from others. thank you so much for getting back to me.

Package is file you put in Mods, it include all your swatches mesh etc. It's what you create using s4s ![;)](//storage.forums.net/6001674/images/_imTo5VxlHtLNCtwbYnT.png) Blend file is your mesh file saved by blender - in this case your leggins. You should watch some tutorials about how to create cc, may you'll find one in your language. They definitely help you to learn more and understand better what to do and when, why. It does not look properly placed in pic, cause other texture show on whole sim leg and it definitely should not. You need to cut your mesh as ea does. So export any ea pants mesh, see how they cut their bottoms in 3, then cut your same way. Then using link I send you set proper cut numbers. Remember that if your mesh have 3 cut numbers, base you use to create package should have 3 of them too. Not more not less. You probably got some MM clothes that are made same as EA ones. Alpha ones are made differently, they are whole new mesh and they glitch with longer tops. Here is example of alpha jeans and this blue top. ![](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4a8acc32f34bece554834cbf1c92750e/a18e9f30aabacb25-d8/s640x960/295fb87613f38831f34a2ebfd92736322682b7f9.pnj)

I'm following blue cravings tutorial on youtube. the best one i can find. i'm using marvelous designer, sims 4 studios, z-brush - and substance painter. T'm really working hard on trying to learn this. and no there is no tut in danish. i think i might make one when I get the hang of it :P so now i started a new pair, and i'm at the point where i'm about to download a mesh from sims 4 studios, and about to rig and transfer weight in blender - and i think it's about now i'm doing something wrong, I just can't figure it out. everything else is running smooth. would you recommend me using a pair of pants as mesh? and which ones do you prefer? or is it better with a pair of leggings? : ![:)](//storage.forums.net/6001674/images/WNwxbfQj8IjIZEU0V3PE.png) Maybe i could convince you to help me a bit through it.

Your mesh weights and uv_1 look fine so you probably did the right, it's the uv_0 wrong placed cause probably shoes texture appear on your leggins. It depends on the bottoms you create, you need to choose ones that are most similar to yours in shape and length. If you watched tutorials there should be everything told step by step, just watch it few times, slowly do steps, you can even write down your own notes or whole process click by click in your own language. I remember I had everything written and was slowly doing step by step till it worked :D So again watch this tutorial few times, do steps together with it, so when in tutorial they do uv_1 you do it too, stop video, do steps, if worked move further, if not then go back and try again If you never created cc before I think starting with MD meshes and all others is pretty hard, maybe you should edit some EA mesh, or just recolor ea leggins, which are all skin painted cause they are skin tight and do not need volume.

![](https://i.ibb.co/6DLSjYb/blender-Jx-IEKJ79z-U.png) so i'm at this point in the tutorial now. I'm about to create the uv maps. I have closed up my leggings. transfered weight, and set the vertex color in 2.70 and i've tested the weight transfer and deleted the inner part of the body. But in the begining she joins together the "refrence" (sims 4 studio mesh). So i'm a bit confused. the next part is making the uv maps. and I know i'm about to use the right template. But there is also the part in the end after z-brush and substance painter - where she does something with every Lod - and i really want to know where i'm doing something wrong, because I have worked hard trying to understand everything. And no - i'm certantly not giving up now. ![:Titter](//storage.forums.net/6001674/images/5_zwnBM8byH4TEsmz2wu.png) i'm so close at my biggest breakthrough

Usually EA meshes are split in few meshgroups. You need to merge them all (reference ones) to transfer weights and uv_1 to your mesh. You do not have to use 2,70 at all, everything is doable in newer versions like 2,78 you have. You need to understand difference between uv_0 and uv_1. UV_0 is the one that project your mesh uv on 2D map so you can texture it. UV_1 determines how your mesh work with sliders and has nothing to do with your texture. It's not the same thing. She probably make lower LODs, ones that lower polycount and change when you zoom out or use medium or low graphic settings. You need to do it too but it's one of last thing to do, first your mesh should be fully usable on LOD_0

yes that i understand. and I think I do understand the difference between uv_0 and uv_1. i'm just doing what she is doing. so now i have joined my high poly and low poly with my body and i'm making the uv_0 - this is what it looks like .. do you see any mistakes yet? ![](https://i.ibb.co/yXxSDqr/blender-v8bh-Na-QXWT.png)

You are making bottoms, so you need only bottom body parts, not top and bottom. After exporting reference you for sure saw that it only contain bottom part. Export only nude bottoms or lace lingerie ones form s4s and import them to your leggins. For tops you need top body part, for bottoms bottom body part and for full body outfits you need full body - top and bottom parts.

"" Export only nude bottoms or lace lingerie ones form s4s and import them to your leggins. "" Do you mean as reference?

As a body parts you join with your leggins, cause previously I saw fullbody on pictures. Follow tutorial and do next steps as they told you to
