I'm nearly done with a project, and out of nowhere s4s won't accept the blend files for this particular set of items. It's fine with importing other meshes into other packages, but not these, despite allowing me to do so before. I'm using blender 3.3 and the most recent release of s4s. Things I've already done: - Created a new clone to test
- Checked that s4s is excluded from my AV
- Checked the paths within s4s
- Reinstalled s4s
- Restarted my pc
- Checked the cuts of the meshgroups
- Exported and reimported the mesh (works, but throws the same error if I edit the uv layout)

This is an ongoing problem with (Star). No one seems to have an answer, trust me. I had been asking for well over a month. I stumbled on the solution yesterday.
Try this process. I'm betting it will work for you too. It's already worked for more than a dozen people on Discord and several here as well.
Open whatever version of blender you're using and go to user preferences. From there choose 'Install from File' at the bottom of the new window. Go to Sims4Studio/blender/scripts and install the s4studio zip. You won't be able to enable it in blender and that's ok. It just seems to need the script in the archives.
Next make sure everything is closed and go to Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Logs. Here you're going to drag that log out of the file or just delete it. Close the file and open Studio. Make sure you've got your path to blender set and grab an item to export as test. Export your mesh. Open the blender version of your choice and open the blend file. Your mesh should be there. Make some kind of change to the mesh and import just to be sure it's working both ways.

It reimports just fine, but if I make any change (even just scaling it), it throws the same error on import. |

I've taken a look at the .blend and the package. Your .blend has too many rigs and the column is linked to rig.001. That may or may not have caused an issue. When I attempted to import the edited .blend into Studio, it threw the same error. So I exported the mesh from the package and opened it in blender 2.79. Scaled it down and it imported perfectly. My best guess here is that blender 3.3 and 3.4 aren't playing nice with Studio.
Maybe try an older version of blender?
I noticed you also have a boatload of verts in that file. I'd decimate those and reduce it so it doesn't cause horrific lag in the game.

Something has messed up in the import process on 3.3 meshes. (It also throws the same error on other 3.3 meshes, but not older meshes (2.7 ones)). Making it a 2.7 blend works, thanks  Will take an age, but at least I can do something.? It's 1.8k, which is pretty reasonable for alpha objects. |

No worries. It looked like a boatload of verts at first. Seems fine for an alpha. Blender 3.4 blends will throw the same error, unfortunately. So 2.7-something seems the best option. |

I HAVE MANAGED TO FIX IT, THANK THE GODS2.7 meshes weren't throwing an error, but they also weren't actually imported, so I decided to wipe everything and try again. This is what fixed it for me: (Some of this might be unnecessary, but it fixed it so oh well): - Uninstalled s4s and every version of blender I had installed
- Wiped the s4s documents folder
- Downloaded and installed Blender 3.3.0
- Downloaded and installed S4S 3.2.0.3

One thing to note about Star is that Studio seems to like its own meshes and not custom ones. By that, I mean that if you try to import a custom mesh Studio will hang and refuse to import. If you run into this the solution is to open the mesh you cloned and append your mesh into it, then save the file when you're done doing whatever you need to do. Studio will accept the mesh then. Maybe the problem has been fixed since the last time I tried but I gave up and went back to an older version of Studio. Anyway, just a heads up.
