Honestly, kinda eh gamepack or not, the game really could use a big basegame update of some kind. While yeah a good gamepack is nice, no amazing expansion pack is going to fix the game while there's still foundational problems. And those problems aren't the loading screens or the weird texts from dead relatives. They're things like a lack of depth to the trait system unless you mod more in, its the emotion system going through them on a whim, its a lack of animosity between sims who hate each other, its the aspiration system needing more to it. I'd write a lot more but my point is very simple, the game needs an update to better flesh out the basegame experience. While it may never be quite the same as sims 2 or 3, it can be a lot better with some improved underlying systems and some minor additions to better flesh out the rest of the game. showbox.bio/ tutuapp.uno/Note, this comes from a guy who thinks the sims 3 is just as much of a mess, so please don't accuse me of bias against 4.
