This subject will crucify me for saying this, but after nearly a decade of being subpar and dull, the game is actually improving? The big update that added Wants, Fears, etc made the game that much immersive for me. The issue with the Sims 4 was that it lacked all the personality that Sims 2 and 3 gave Sims, and therefore you felt removed from your own characters. However, now that Maxis is finally paying attention (just a slight bit), I actually enjoy playing the game beyond just firetrucking with the extensive CAS feature. There is still work to be done, of course, and it is scummy that Maxis/EA waited almost a decade to finally listen. It is also frustrating how greedy they continue to be 19216811.cam/ 1921681001.id/ (adding packs literally no one asked for (which one of y'all wanted a firetrucking Star Wars DLC???), the weird Kits feature that no one asked for, breaking the occult features into three separate packs unlike what they did Sims 3, and basically making the game interesting only if you can afford to buy extra content). But as a whole, I do like the new features Maxis has implemented. I really enjoy the incoming updates in which they give us little pieces of new content, rather than waiting months before adding an entire huge new update to the game.

No crucifixion my friend. It is getting better. It's just still a wee bit bland and a lot buggy still. But they're trying and that's better than nothing. I'd prefer more complete expansions, but I understand the reasons why folks like the smaller bite size stuff and that's cool too. I really just want the bugs fixed... I'd buy a pack of bug fixes. I swear I would.
