So, I'm having importing issues. I exported a mesh (yes I have the plugins, using star 3.2.0.3) and all was well and good. Sometimes when I export a mesh, edit it and import it, it imports just fine. Cool Sometimes I get an error that I don't understand. cool But this is a fun one. Now I'm getting … nothing … Literally nothing. I import my new mesh, and the little spinney spins for an appropriate time, and then nothing happens. The model doesn't update. There is no error. S4s acts like I didn't do anything at all. It doesn't freeze, it doesn't hang, I can still navigate around and do whatever, if I save the pkg and reopen it, the package is fine. It just does NOTHING. So I thought ok well maybe s4s just had a brain fart, so I selective cloned another object, aaand same result. The "new" mesh is just an edited old mesh also exported from s4s, so IDK why it's not doing anything, and there is no error to paste here, so I'm at a loss. I exported a new mesh and I THINK everything is still the same and still there. I don't think I accidentally deleted something vital, but idk. I'm still learning how to blender. This is a link to the blend file. I'm not going to bother including a package file, because it doesn't matter what package I try to import it into. Just selective clone any old Build Buy object, and try to import it, and it will do nothing. Thank you in advance for any help

Hi. The package does in fact matter because they are made differently. Start by exporting the blend from the package and opening it. Most likely there will be two meshgroups: the shadow plane and the object itself. The shadow plane generally has cut 0 and no vertex groups, so when you import your current blend, the crystals are trying to replace that shadow plane (because they have the same cut) but cant do it because they have different vertex groups
So do this: - export the blend and make sure it is structured like yours ( the shadow and the object ). Check what cut the object has; - close this blend and open yours. Make s4studio_mesh_1 visible ( eye icon). If its not, it wont be imported; - give the shadow plane 0 and 1 to the object ( or the other way), save, reimport
