Hello! I need help making a CAS item that makes my sim shiny. I've been trying to make the cc look like this without the hair ( www.patreon.com/posts/31378899 ). I've torn this hair apart trying to figure out what makes the sim shiny, but I cannot find out what is making it do that. The closest thing I've found is modthesims.info/d/604094/super-shiny-skin.html, but there is a slight difference in how the sim is shiny. With the hair, the skin looks like plastic skin, but with the shiny skin detail, the shininess is in other places. ~~Comparison: -shininess with hair (goal): imgur.com/a/2NFk36k-other shiny: imgur.com/a/s8l24Dx~~While I was playing around with the hair, I noticed the bare miniumunm I needed to keep the hair effect was this: - imgur.com/a/EPIa75E~~Other things I noticed: changing simglass to simskin in the geometry tab causes the effect to go away * making the specular map blank takes away the shiny effect, but putting the hair's specular onto something else does not recreate the shiny effect the shiny effect is still visible when the shadow, normal, diffuse, and emission map is blank when I changed the mesh to another hair (I picked a random maxis match hair), I still saw the shiny effect Feel free to take my findings with a grain of salt because I have no idea how CC works. *TLDR: can someone help me isolate the shiny part of the hair and use it as a skin detail or ring accessory?*

Hi. Specular map is responsible for the shine. In this case it is made incorrectly and, as a result, affect the whole sim. Simglass shader is assigned to the hair only. While meshes with this shader have a different type of shine, it isnt actually affecting the body, presumably just changes the intensity of the shine.
So you can just export this specular, clean up the hair area and import this file into gloves, for example ( just clean up other maps). If the shine will not be the same, you can change the shader

A few minutes ago, I tried adding the hair mesh and specular map to a ring and changing it to simglass, but the shininess isn't there. Did I do something wrong?
