so i've been having some issues with this outfit i've been creating. the rest of the mesh appears fine, however the shoulders, collar, and arms (not pictured) appear to be super shiny: the normal and specular map look fine to me but obviously it must be something wrong with them. i also borrowed a blank spec map from another dress, so I wonder if that could be why? something i noticed too is that the specular mask preview in s4s would change after i closed down s4s and opened it back up again: this probably doesn't have any impact on the actual spec map itself, but i thought i would mention it. anyways here's all the files: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ILP6Zqh57csK1ry9imxxUumFMM3dAj5o?usp=sharing(my texture is messy. i know.) if someone is able to tell me what's wrong with it i'll be very grateful!! for some reason the hardest part about making cc for me is all the maps lmao.

Hey It's your specular map. If you use Star studio version you can use Make Blank button to make ready blank specular map if you do not need custom one that cause shine (I think here you do not need shiny one).

thanks for answering! so i tried making the spec blank using the "make blank" button and only imported the spec.mask.dds. all that did was make the WHOLE thing have that weird shine :/

omg of course the most obvious thing is the thing I didn't try. for some reason it wasn't working for me on another item I made (it was probably the normal map tbh) but it does now on this one. thank you for your help!
