No, for CAS you need to edit the .rles. There is a tutorial HERE showing how.

You can do this by editing the specular map only in the areas you want to remove the shine. Open the specular and paint black only in the textures of the lampshade. Make sure to also paint in the alpha channel to be black. Then import it to Studio and check in game. If this sounds confusing you can upload the .package and I can take a look. Sometimes it might be difficult to find which part is what by looking at the specular map. If that's the case you would need to export the mesh, and check in the program which part is the corresponding in the Uv map for the textures.

I'm creating stickers can anyone tell me why my stickers have a question mark in the background of the image? thanks The question mark means that it cannot find the texture, either you deleted it or it has the wrong size. Sims 4 images must be in powers of 2^n in each side of the image. For example. 256x256 pixels, 512x512, 256x512, etc. Mostly for stickers you should use a maximum of 512x512, but you can go up to 1024x1024 if a really good amount of detail is needed. Images with wrong sizes won't be recognized by the game and show the question mark.

Thanks soo much I thought it had something to do with the size but it was a lot of trial and error and I was tired so I just asked to be certain. Thanks again

I'm still getting the question mark, I have isolated the issue, not sure if there is a tutorial for this, but does anyone know what is the DST image that looks like a gray scale of the colored image that would go in the game? I hope my question is clear.
When I deleted the DST image that looks like a gray scale of the original I get the question mark. I made sure the image was within the guidelines mentioned above.
Thanks

Hi OM! So I've been attempting to separate a bed from from one of the in-game beds. I used the base game rabbit sculpture to do so. I followed this tutorial to remove the sheen from it, but it still has some weird textures that are only visible in-game. Can you help me out? IMAGENOTE: It's mostly noticeable on the headboard and footboard. There's this weird split in the center? The same piece of board has two separate shades of color? I'm really confused :-/ It's definitely not in-game lighting. I tested indoors and outdoors, with/without lights, and different times of day. It's definitely something wrong with the package and I can't figure it out for the life of me!

Hi! I know this is an older thread, but this is the closest thing I could find in relation to the issue I am having: I'm trying to make "deco sims" and I am following the instructions of this user: melonsloth.tumblr.com/post/653525001318940672/deco-sim-tutorial-simripper-versionI'm following everything to a T, but when it comes to putting my deco sim objects in the game, they are really shiny. Does anyone know how to fix this? They are very simple sims. It's nothing crazy exaggerate and it doesn't have any cc, it's all EA purchased content on these deco sims. I'm just trying to make them matte-looking, without any shine.
