Since the latest update. When I export a mesh into blender it doesnt import the texture as well it just appears black in object mode with texture selected. I'm using blender 2.7

Its build/buy items (I dont tend to do much Cas) The mesh exports with no errors, but when I open it in blender the texture is black. If I select it, it turns orange. I can still render it and the solid and wireframe versions appear ok too. I downloaded a newer version of Blender and tested that, and it did the same. (i've since uninstalled the newer version as I am more used to using 2.7)

Hi, saxonspud Blender 2.7 and the latest one are words apart in many ways, including materials. When you install a new version of blender, you must change blender path in s4s settings to blender.exe in the installation folder of a new version. Then s4s will export the blend suitable for that version
I did not quite get what triggered this issue in the first place, but if it was just installing a new version of s4s, try deleting sims 4 studio folder from Documents to force s4s ti re-index If you started using a different version of blender, then just change the path and re-export

It wasnt triggered by installing the new version of blender. It happened after I updated S4S. I just downloaded the new version of blender to see if the issue was the same, and it was. I've since deleted the newer version as I'm quite happy using 2.7 Just slightly annoying that the texture doesnt import now

Could you share your paths please? Seems more like s4s cannot locate the textures

Everything is correct. Where is s4s installed? Did deleting s4s folder not help?

Everything is correct. Where is s4s installed? Did deleting s4s folder not help? No it does exactly the same thing, but curiously s4s in installed in Program files x86 on the c:\ drive. As its now 64 bit I would have thought it would have been installed in program files. It was working ok up until the last install. Maybe I'll try completely uninstalling and reinstalling. I think I just updated it the last few times without uninstalling the previous version so that might be the issue, although it was never a problem before

Oh yeah, you cant do that, two versions of the same generation of s4s cannot be installed at once

so tried uninstalling and reinstalled. Default install location is programfiles x86 so it just installed it back to the same location. Tested and I'm still having the issue so not sure what to try next

Is your blender in english?
You can also use a previous version of s4s ( on the download page click on Alternate download link to see them)
Thats the type of error one gets when something is wrong with the blend ( too high poly, no cut number(s), wrong vertex groups, uv maps are name the wrong way). Try comparing your blend with the original or share both the package and blend files

Thanks, I've just downloaded the previous version and I can now import the meshes, although the textures still arent appearing. I'm beginning to wonder if my blender is broken. I may need to uninstall it and start learning how to use the newer version. I've noticed today that it sometimes wont open the mesh at all if I double click on it, so something is definately awry. also when I downloaded the newer version before to test it, I didnt change the blender path in s4s so will give that a try

All fixed now. I think something had corrupted my blender. Now have a newer version. It will take a bit of getting used to the new interface but at least everything is working. Thanks for your help
