I think this tool is bugged, it tends to not delete these black dots after you delete the topology You're meant to increase Extrusion until the problem goes away For thin collar pattern no number will work because it it is sandwiched between the torso and the sleeve too tightly. Either just paint over red with purple in the image editor or separate sleeves from the garment before baking Then theres this problem. The issue goes away when you subdivide lp version, so I suppose these edges are just too sharp. Before baking, add subsurface modifier to lp version, but do not apply it Also, see this? the avatar is very low poly, so whet a hq version hugs it, it becomes jagged as well. In the future, subdivide the avatar in MD before simulation.

This right there is exactly the problem I encountered with my current project!! My workaround was to smooth out the mesh with Blender's sculpting tools and edit the normal map and AO map in Photoshop. Never occurred to me that the avatar is to blame. Thank you, Mauvemorn, you rock!

I tried to subdivide the avatar in Blender then import it to MD. The front part seems still not really smooth. Do I need to adjust the front part of avatar until they are smooth manually? MD

The is an option to subdivide the avatar in MD. Just click on it and it will be in the properties To make the result of subdivision better, quadrangulate the avatar and remove doubles before importing it in md

Have little experience in baking from high to low. So hope to make sure the result of baking is in right track. Have tried different extrusion and increase level of subdivision modifier to test. The result seems similar. NormalBlender

Yes, it looks right. All those unwanted red/green spots can be painted over with purple
