Hi, I'm new to creating cc and I need help. I created a top with Marvelous Design. I downloaded blenders 2.70, 2.76, 2.79, and 4.1. (a lot I know) and when I try to import the saved top into blender, it does not appear on the sim female avatar. I've done it right to my knowledge, (got the female avatar from here, exported the avatar mesh to blender which worked, then tried exporting the obj top, doesn't show up on the avatar. I'm stressed and don't want my top going to waste so help would be appreciated.

Maybe .obj needs to be converted to .blend to work? There’s a lot of sites that convert files for you. I’m not sure if that’s the issue, I’m just guessing.

Hi. MD exports in obj and you are meant to import it into a blend file.
How did you export the garment? With « Export (Selected) »?If yes, you may have had nothing selected. If no, share your obj
also, do not jump between versions of blender, this can cause a lot of issues. Work either in 4.1 or in 2.79, delete all other versions and avoid tutorials that tell you to use 2.70 (this is a sign they are made by beginners who didn’t think of googling something before teaching others how to do it).

I have one more question, so sorry! My top imported, but the sim has weird grey parts. Do you know why this is/how to fix?

Just based on sight and nothing else it looks like a texture issue to me. Sharing the blend file would be helpful.

Uploading it to a hosting site and sharing the link. simfileshare, google drive, and drop box are common ones.

hopefully I shared that correctly, but there you go. I used 4.1 if that matters.

You're gonna have to make it available to view for anyone who has the link.

Thank you for uploading! It doesn't seem that my version of Blender supports opening it (I'm on 2.79) so hopefully someone who's on the same version as you are can take a look.

Hi. You need to export all patterns without the avatar -File - Export - OBJ; - deselect Select all avatars; - enable Select all patterns, Single object, Weld, Thin, m, Y ( Up)
