Hello, I have been texturing in blender 3.6 for quite some time then I go to photoshop to do multi colors, my question is this though. When I create my texture map, the images look beautiful because i go to a different uv map to texture then go back to my uv_o to map and it will hold the texture in place, but when I bake no matter how high I bake at, my textures still come out blurry because the sims uv map is so small, Is there a better way to get clear and perfect looking textures? (Without having to use substance painter? I do not have many textures in substance painter so I never use it, For instance on this model I created some Ice cream shoes, and the model looks perfect in blender but when i bake the maps they come out so blurry because the uv map is so small. How are all the big creators getting there textures so clean and perfect?

thank you in advance for any help

Hi. One pixel can display only one color. Smaller uvs > less pixels to bake to > less color variety > worse quality To improve the texture, you need bigger and better uvs. - Delete one shoe, delete portions of the ice cream cone that overlap; - currently the foot uvs are misplaced, there will be a noticeable difference in skin texture where legs turn into feet. Delete that area and add it from the original shoes again. You can stack the bottom uv islands and move selected uvs up a bit, but dont touch the top most ones; - mark more seams to split bigger uv islands into smaller pieces; - unwrap the shoe so theres less stretching; - put uvs into available uv space. If you want certain parts to be of better quality, make all uvs that use that material bigger. If an area is obscured, its uvs can be smaller; - after that, you can duplicate only the shoe, separate it, rename its bones and flip uv_1. Do not edit its uv_0. Then join back. - while i doubt anybody would pair these shoes with pants or gowns, bear in mind that those cast shadows on the shoes. Since uvs arent arranged in the same way maxis ones are, the shadows would appear in random locations.
