I'm currently looking to do some edits/get an understanding of how the game's UI works. I've found all the ScaleFormGFX files and a bunch of DSTImage images from the GameCruiser, but I have no idea how to work with them.
Every other thread I've found mentions JPEXS, but when I open the Flash Movie file there, everything is just red. I've also got the DST Images, but I don't have the slightest clue on how to import them properly.
I'd share an image, but I haven't quite figured out how to use this platform, so forgive me.
**Edit**
I should mention that I've been reading the following thread, but it is 8 years old and all the image links there are dead so I'm stuck.
UI/GUI Editing/Unpacking? - PROBLEMS / ERRORS [SOLVED]

Okay, so I found info in a thread by Nisuki . CmarNYC had created a program (Tool to work with UI textures by CmarNYC) that lets you squish together two UI images extracted from the GameCruiser. The resulting image looks like what you see in-game.
Here is the thread:
Sims 4 Studio thread by Nisuki Nisuki: Saving dds files for UI icons
I'm still trying to figure how to use this new image with the .gpx Flash Movie file in JPEXS FFDecompiler. If anyone has any insights on how to navigate that program, please share with me, I'd greatly appreciate any help! In the meantime, I'll keep fiddling around with some of the ActionScript, since code is a lot easier to work with for me.
BTW, I guess I should mention what I'm up to doing all of this. So, in my current playthrough, I have a Sim who is a Vampire/Spellcaster hybrid. I wanted to create my own custom UI motives panel that shows the Vampire Hunger need, as well as the Spellcaster charge level (with the crystal ball). I also wanted to add another button so that the players can view either Vampire or Spellcaster perk point menus. I also wanted to see if I could give these Sims an Immediate interaction found in the Pie Menu for Vampire/Spellcaster that opens this Perk Points/Powers menu. As it is, with Spellcasters, you can open the Spellbook through the modal for Perk Points and by choosing the immediate interaction under the Magic Pie Menu category.
