The Star version doesn't seem to work with blender 2.70 and the newer blenders are too different for me to get used to so I don't use them. I don't know if Star is meant to work with 2.70 but any mesh downloaded from Star I try to open with it doesn't work.
I haven't been able to create anything new since the change and I stopped trying after a while because it was so frustrating and discouraging but I still miss it :(
