I don't think this is the correct place to post but I can't seem to find where to ask specific software questions unrelated to creation. I'm having an issue with memory using S4S on my MacBook Pro, which should have plenty of ram and memory to handle S4S and is fine using other graphics programs simultaneously, but this is only S4S and like 3 internet tabs open, no streaming or photoshop at the same time. I'm wondering if I'm using the wrong version of the software or if there's another issue with my settings or the cc I'm working with. Tonight after going through CC for a couple of hours I discovered S4S was using 100g?? When I searched all I could find were people saying it uses a lot of memory - like 5-10g, not 100. It seems like I'm using the correct version based on the notes but maybe I'm missing an update? Or there is a workaround or workflow issue I need to know about. If someone could send me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Hi elizabeth0eva , I saw this post before uploading the new version today and added a quick fix. Please let me know if you see any improvements in the memory usage of My CC in version 1.4.2.3.

Yes, I reinstalled the new version and it's great! I've been watching an intense series while I work on stuff the last couple of weeks so I didn't realize how how rough it was running until it was so smooth today. But s4s has always been fine so I never would have guessed it was related. TYSM!

It's not affecting my performance at least, but I might have spoken too soon. I noticed today it was up to 30g. Maybe that's expected, but I thought I would let you know since idk how much of your team is using Mac for long periods of time, it was maybe 2 hours. I've been completely closing between projects now so I don't think it will be a problem for me personally. Everything still seems great with the new version and reinstall.

Hi elizabeth0eva, What kind of projects were you opening when this happened?

Mostly manually tagging/recategorizing cc. I'm slowly cleaning out CC that can't be batch fixed (as far as I know) and it seems like length of time is a factor. I don't seem to have this problem when I'm recoloring or working on a single package but it's hard to tell since s4s us only open for a short time.
