Hello! I'm new to Sims4Studio, but I have been playing the Sims 4 for a few years. I have become very annoyed at many of the clothing mods I've installed having incorrect outfit type tags, which makes creating Sims outfits a bit frustrating. I looked at the tutorials available here on the forums and opened the first package in my mods folder to test out the process. Thankfully, I made a copy of the original file first as well. As once I selected the Outfit Type and saved the change, the render went completely invisible. As you can see from the screenshot below, the crop top shows up fine while still mislabelled as 'Gloves.'
But once I change one of the colours to 'Clothing Top', as shown below with the black swatch, the top glitches out.
I've done no other changes to the information for the black swatch of this top, only changed the Outfit Type. And the same issue happens when I use the "Apply To All Swatches" button (which just makes all the swatches glitch out). Changing it back to 'Gloves' doesn't fix it, either. I have to completely delete the package and replace it with the copy I made to restore it.
What am I doing incorrectly? I would love to get this sorted out so I can fix my whole collection. (Thank you in advance for your help!)

Hi. This top is categorised as gloves to be worn under clothing, with jackets. This item is texture-based, it does not include the upper body. Instead, it is projected on the surface of other items that contain the upper body. When you recategorise it, that other item that contains the body disappears, so there is nothing to project this texture on.
After changing it back to gloves, you need to save the package, go back to the main menu, then open again.
The download link to this top most likely contained a version of the item in the top category. If not, what you’d need to do it to export all textures, start a new project from a bra, and import all textures there.

Oh, I see! Thank you for explaining. I appreciate the clarification! I'll look at this again soon and see if I can figure out the new project aspect.
